No One Ever Knew

She used to be the happiest person you'd ever meet
Until one day she was beat
No one could cheer her up
No one ever knew

She loved him so much
Every time he called her, her heart raced
She smiled and blushed around him
He was her everything
No one ever knew

One day he was drinking, his thinking impaired
He made the biggest mistake of his life
He decided to break up with her
People were saying bad things
No one ever knew

She confronted him asking why
He told her he was done and said good-bye
One last time
No one ever knew

She cried for hours that night
Fighting the desire to die
It didn't work so well
She wrote a note and said oh-well
No one ever knew

The note had thank yous for her loved ones
But at the end of it, it stated
"You never knew how much you meant to me
But now you'll never have the chance to see
You were my everything, everything I could be"
No one ever knew

She blamed it on him
For her feelings of suicide
That night she died
She slit her wrists and signed the note in blood
At the bottom it said

"No One Ever Knew You Meant So Much To Me"
