Not Knowing Where

by Soulful Ensemble   Feb 2, 2008

Taking all the time I had
Leaving nothing there.
I've got one more sad,
Angry little hair.

Every day I walk
Never knowing where.
All the time I talk
I never say a prayer.

In one single day
A whole live's work is done.
Because the sky was gray
And I yelled at you for fun.

I once had you
Never knowing where.
Keeping you
Was hard to bear.

I loved you very long
Never knowing how.
I took you far along
While nobody allowed.

You filled my heart with nothing
And the empty space is deep.
I'm left looking out for something
To fill a void that weeps.

So you took my love
Never knowing where.
It developed gloves
To fit a dying flair.

I fell in love with you
Never knowing where;
I was supposed to go to
With my angry little hair.

You wanted me, and here I am for you;
Not knowing where we are.
We fall and fall deep down the tube;
Staring, into darkness, far.

Take me with you now
I've something to say, too.
I still remember a vow
That I had made to you.

Why do I keep my mind
With you all the time?
Not knowing that I'm blind
Seems to be a crime.

I only suffer,
With every beat.
You're a surfer
That has to cheat.

We're falling down,
Going nowhere.
Not knowing why we clown,
And not knowing even where.

Stealing this heart
Time after the next.
Seems as smart,
As using me for sex.

I've woken up
Never knowing where.
I lost the cup
I could drink not scared.

The sky has fallen
With a fiery flair.
And your eyes do open
Never knowing where.

And its too late darling,
We've both died.
Waiting, yearing, asking,
For a place to hide.

I had a heart once lit,
Never knowing where.
But I am sure i had it,
And that I can swear.

Well, my last angry litte hair
Has fallen slowly now.
Leaving its dark empty lair
With nothing to vow.

I once read the prayer:
"love does not bear"
"The heart to be scared."
I laughed and stared
And the paper i did tear,
Walking away from there;
Not knowing where.
