Like a soft hand over my heart

by Mr Rhee   Feb 2, 2008

You touch me nowhere,
and hurt me everywhere.
The kisses you deny me
burn my lips all night long.

Your hands are so cold,
as you slap my pride down.
The whispers in my ears
are screams of hate and pain.

You walk away again,
as I reach for you tonight.
The echoes of your footfalls
slamming hard inside my head.

Your eyes look through me,
like I'm not supposed to be there.
The visions of you in my arms
fade like this morning's nightmare.

You tell me to go away,
and not ever come back.
The tears roll down your face
as you spit your hate at me.

Your words are like knives,
twisted into the back of my head.
The blood splashes warmly
like a soft hand over my heart.
