"There is no such thing as freedom so why return to reality when all it will do is cause physical and emotional pain."

Oh how I wish we stayed in fantasy world forever. The world would be so much simpler if we could all just make it up inside our own heads. It's too bad life doesn't allow for that once you've outgrown the innocence of childhood.
I like the concept of what you wrote..it's a unique way of looking at life.
Keep holding on my dear. =]

Once again, your writing is flawless
and i can connect so well with this part so well
"lost in this made-up world I call home"

    you have amazing talent
    and i'm jealous!<3

This poem reminds me of my ex who is the image of my avatar

I seems that when she is behind bars she is more free from her worst enemy I somehow doubt she could see the truth that is expressed well in this poem,
especially this line "freedom with chains holding me back. There is no such thing as freedom so why return to reality when all it will do is cause physical and emotional pain"

whether it is an addict chained to an addiction or trying to escape an addiction this poem reflects the illusion being captured by a desire to be free

    well done

ps... there is a way to use emotional pain thus gaining more control by surrender
