Yearnings of the Heart

by Gale   Feb 5, 2008

Chasing you through these open fields
Gets exhausting, you know?
Can't we just sit a while?
Contemplate the meaning of life
While your head is on my shoulder
We could reminese about our lives
Together and Before
Whatever you choose
You could tell me your favorite food
And I'll tell you about my best friend
We'll be like two lovers
And dig deep into each other
Become intimate as we bare our souls
We can sit there till the night comes
Why not till the dawn of a new day arrives?
We could be this and so much more
If you'll take a chance
And listen to the strums
Of your heart.
