The star atop the tree has faded...

Doors swing open
Light invades eyes...

Swirling reds begin bathing the floor
Life silently creeps between my toes...

Oh this hatred that eats at me
When will sweet indifference come...

I wish you knew
Or I could say...

Oh my sunless flower
How you wilt without light...

Thought about it after the first lie
Knew it after the second...

There was nothing
The air was still...
