I wish I could just crack
my head open, take out my brain
and surgically remove all of the
thoughts I ever had of you.

I argue with him like he's my brother,
I flirt with him like the friend that he is,
But I love him like he's the only one for me.

Everyday people ask me,
"Are you two going out?"
And you don't realize how painful
It is to reply,
"No, we're just friends.."

If you see me walking with someone else, it's not because I love them, it's because you're not there to walk beside me. If I fall in love with someone else, it's not because I wanted to.. It's because you weren't there to catch me.

Watch the clock,
Head for home,
Check the phone, just in case,
Go to bed, dream of YOU.
That's what I'm doing these days.

Someday someone's going to walk into your life, and you are going to realize the real reason it didn't work with anyone else.

You know you're crazy about someone,
When you take the long way to class,
Walk up an extra staircase and go down
Two extra hallways.. Just to see his face.

Tell him that I don't miss him and that I don't need him anymore. Tell him that I've moved on & I don't want to see him again. But most of all, don't tell him I said all this with tears in my eyes.

& I'm not into the idea of living without you.
