Um, thank you to whoever nominated my poem and anyone who voted in its favor. Been on this site for nearly 10 years and it’s my first win. Thank you!

It amazes me how much I let my mind wander to the clouds. I build up a friendship or a lover. The crash back to reality is almost unbearable.

My heart goes out to those killed whose murders have not been brought to justice and to the family and loved ones affected. I stand with you.
