First Contest - Song Titles :)

Welcome to my first contest :) Glad you joined me. This is a small contest to start with until I am more familiar with starting them, but we all have to start somewhere right?

Anyway, this contest is based on song titles. I am choosing random titles to use and there will be a selection of 10 to choose from.

Here are some rules:
1) First come first serve.. 2 poets per title :)
2) One/two titles per poet :)
3) Must reserve first, so I have an idea of who is doing what.
4) No self harm/explicit material please.
5) No copying of lyrics is allowed! If I do find any then the poem will not be entered. By all means, you can listen to the song, if you have it, for inspiration if needs be.
6) There is no limit as to how long the poem must be but do use your common sense :)
7) Poems can be new or old :) But must be the poets own work!

The deadline for all entries will be set at 3rd May and judging will commence on the 5th May and this may take a while seems as though I cannot access a computer 24/7, so please be patient. Thanks :)

Perfect day

Rolling Irish hills,
with Forest air in my lungs.
Far away mountains,
snow capped and frigid

Beautiful blue sky
Spotted with fluffy white clouds
Shaped in whatever
our imaginations create.

Green grass so lovely,
to sit upon with your love
To gaze upon the night sky
Hand in hand

Valleys so deep and secret
To wander among
To see small villages nestled
amid them, homes and families

My perfect world
with everything lovely
But no, of course
Nothing like this is real

I look into the dismal Grey sky,
and the hard stone pavement
The night sky holds nothing
and no love I to sit with

The valleys filled with nothing but sorrow
And the clouds bring only rain
Dreams are meant for dreaming
And nothing gold can stay.

You don't belong here, you're simply put up with
Stop kidding yourself, you matter? As if.
You'll never fit in, you'll never have friends
You'll never be loved, you'll never make amends

Never have, never will, you're an outsider
Behind your cowering back, they snicker
To your face, they just stare, and put on a fake smile
But trust me they won't put up with you in a while.

You're the odd one out, everyday, no matter when
You're mean, and cruel. Rude, again and again
You're the one doing all the wrong,
Stop blaming others, you're the one at fault

Ha, Ha, you're going to cry, thats it run off
They'll taunt you more, and you, they'll scoff
Then they'll see the real loser you are
They'll finally make you move afar.

Hold back those tears, don't dare you frown
If they ever saw you, all they'd do is worry

Loneliness is no sin, just something missing.
Stop being like this, face the truth, stop running

Stop being silly, but on a brave face
You can win this high stakes race
Just take deep breaths and take a step back
Close your eyes, concentrate, nothing you lack

Tell them everything, all you keep locked inside

Be the person you are, bold, energizing
Stop being shy, keeping to yourself, stop lying.

That's not who you are, and some of them, they know
So start being outright silly, start dancing in the rain.
Kick up your feet, who cares what they say
Be merry always, like the month of may.

I wish I could believe this, I really wish I could
But its just so unbelievable, I'll just be misunderstood
And I'll always be the one behind the mask.
Never taking the chance of completing the task.

Perfect Day

Shining sun and singing birds?
This version is often heard.
So many people think a perfect day,
Should be set in just this way.

My point of view is somewhat unique,
It's not blue skies and fluffy clouds I seek.
But pouring, driving, endless rain,
Hammering on the window pane.

As you and I are safe inside,
And from the entire world we hide.
So we can spend it just together
And wish one day will last forever.

Tender kisses and lingering words,
Between a couple of love-struck nerds.
Cute little smiles and innocent glances,
Inside jokes and private dances.

Nothing distasteful, nothing unclean,
My perfect day involves nothing obscene.
Frozen in time, just you and I,
When you tell me you love me and look into my eyes.

Answers to questions
remain so elusive.
Praying to god of all kinds,

Porcelain,

Doorknobs & spoons.

Culture addiction, this life I've been living

The Real Thing

My screams fill the biting cold air,
For I do not know if I can ever bear,
This tragedy that has suddenly arrived,
Before my scared and petrified eyes.

I hope he will continue to fight
I'm praying that he will be alright,
I don't know if there's any hope,
How could death lie so very close?

I stay with him till help finally comes,
And by then I am completely numb,
With coldness, dread, and tons of fear,
As I silently start to cry some tears.

Why does it have to end like this,
Where there is no peace or any bliss,
I just wish this was all a dream,
But I know it's the real thing.

I'm happy how this turned out :) And congrats to you all for doing so well. I loved every single poem here, it was so hard to choose. But, I made it. Here they are:
