Reincarnation

Do you believe in it or not so much? and if so, do u think how it works has to do with karma?

Hmmm... I cannot say with 100% certainty, but having a love for Buddhism, it really does intrigue me.

I sorta do, but I don't fully believe in it.
If it is true it does have something to do with karma, because like how everything you do gets back at you in life, it will in afterlife... many people believe that if you are good in your life you'll come back as a beautiful bird and if you weren't a good person in life you'll come back as a chimp or rat...

There's nothing wrong with believing in something, Southern Charm. Our beliefs are oftentimes what keeps us together and alive in the end. Maybe you should try to be more understanding, rather than telling someone their beliefs are ridiculous.

I hope i get reincarnated until i get to go to heaven, i've done some seriously bad stuff in my life when i was younger, so a chance to redeem myself would be so cool

Y'know i actually wouldn't mind being reincarnated...even if i were a blade of glass it wouldn't be that bad

but i don't really know about the whole concept of reincarnation or karma...i'd rather not dwell on things i won't be able to prove.

but reading through the post I forgot who it was but someone has said you don't want to be reincarnated into a blade of grass -.- I had such a weird day dream then that I was being reincarnated into a blade of grass and there was this mower and it was nearly getting to me and I was all liek AHH! LOL random sorry but I thought I should share it ^^
woop woop! I kinda agree with the second post on this board. that It was someone us humans made up so we can find comfort while we are on our death beds :/ that sorta makes sense. I dont know what to believe any more. My dad always told me it was a load of "bull" but although I may not believe so much I do believe that there is something more to this life ^^ xxx

Agreed. It's one of those ideas to put false hope into people and keep them happy, control them.
People believe something will happen after death cos that's what they want to believe. It won't happen. You'll just die and life will stop. Kaput. The end.

Our only chance or reincarnation is into that of a creature which is without sentient thought? I think I'd rather stay dead, to be honest.

I believe once we're dead we will know all. All of the questions you've ever had that no one could answer will be of your knowledge. I'm just waiting for that moment to come.

Yes. But I dont thik that karma has anything to do with it. My grandpa always said when he dies he wants to become a bird and be free. After he died there is always this bird the flys around our house, my parentts and stuff say its him watchin over and protecting us.

About reincarnation, there was this other philosophy that nobody is really alive, and then when they "die", they are alive, and so they leave this world and enter the living one...though I still think there is no reason why human consciousness should transcend this one. Most of it is probably illusion anyway.

This is what I believe in and is my opinion on it:

To me when you die, you don't become born again as something else. You either go to hell, go straight to heaven, or go to purgatory (which means you only go up from there)....

I believe in reincarnation. That is just my view. I do not believe it has anything to do with what you have done in this life because being reincarnated means a different life, a new life, a new start. Why should a completely new life be determined by the past? I strongly believe that reincarnation is possible and is probable.

I believe that there must be something after death. My mind can't actually grasp the concept that death is the end, it can't accept it. There must be something more to life.
