Lights spark and fragment on a salty sea.
Questions flitter behind strained, tired eyes,
Whilst a crooked blade twists inside of me.
Oh so dark, the venom seeps from his lies.

Infecting these wounds that silently scream,
Paralysed emotions claw to escape.
A seething demon with a vengeful gleam,
Malice now takes an horrific new shape.

She stares right through me, reflecting my rage,
Shrieking morals command my head to explode.
Deceit rotates, then crumples like a page,
My wake of destruction scorching the road.

Your flicking serpents tongue blacks out my life

this is supposed to reflect the way his lies have taken her life.

Come now raven, peck these eyes from your wife
^
and this is her mocking him, suggesting that he would still take from her, even now that she is dead.

Any suggestions..

Hi everyone! Ugh I hate exams! How are we all??

Mr Darcy, I prefer that latest couplet of yours, fits very well :) I think 'serpents' needs to be 'serpent's' as it belongs to him, I think any way :)

As for the title, well I normally name my poems after a phrase in the poem or a song title haha. So I'm happy to agree with your suggestion!! If I do think of one I shall post it here (or the next thread lol) or PM it
