Spelling

I got into this argument with my teacher. He says that light, when you're taking about weight is spelt "lite". I think it's spelt "light".

Can someone help me out here please? Am I right?

THANK YOU! Jeez... he's really pissing me off. He's all, Jackie, if you're not prepared to accept what you're being taught, you're in the wrong english class.

lite (adj.) - having relatively few calories.
light (v) - an area that is brighter or paler than its surroundings.
2. begin to smoke.
3.any device serving as a source of light.
4, 5, 6.....and so on and so on..

that should give you the answe to what your looking for..
therefore, lite as in "she is LITE weight" would be correct.

i on the other hand spell it with 'light"...but thats not "correct"...oo well! :)
