Clear the Air

I wanted to clear the air about something.

Recently I have read from two different people that I would be happier if the just went away and they felt as though I did not like them.

Truth is.. there is no one on this site that I really dislike. Despite the attacks upon me... I do not hate any of you.

I try to be a fair mod, but I am only human and have and will make mistakes. If you feel as though I have made a mistake or am making a mistake then feel free to pm me... my pm is always open to anyone that wants to sort things out.

Now... hopefully we can continue on our beautiful day with far less drama and bickering that has been displayed on the boards.

For my part... well, I apologize to all the members that had to sit back and witness my childish side. I will strive to do better.

These past few days were rough on all of us, Sherry..I don't think I would have handled it better, lol..probably worse!

I want to take the time to thank all of the mods past and present for their hard work

The members and mods seem always willing to raise the bar and I am also sorry if when I have left the comfort of my silence to stir my passion for tolerance and kindness that you reflect so well

Nah, ain't happenin' in my lifetime (but I'm the old guy here so who knows).

I have had my fair share of run in's with pretty much every Mod, Sherry included. No one has been as fair and mature with me, than Sherry has, even when she was in the wrong, or I was in the wrong..she did her best to explain, which is more than can be said for most people.

Like I said before Sherry doll, this thread has only left you open to more flak...I'd just delete it if I were you. Make your apologies privately if you must.

Sher, first, I agree. Even in my limited experience, your postings have striven for fairness and displayed patience.

However, as I already said, "let all the poisons that lurk in the mud be hatched out."

Your intent is pure, what others make of it is their own problem.

Should you have done something different? Ludicrous question. Better to ask if you have learned to do something different if the occasion were to arise again. Even better to ask if you have learned to spot a particular type of problem before it raises its head.

Of course you have, and I salute you for it.

I posted my suggestion in the suggestion forum and britt was the only one that responded and she said it was not a mod question

Was the penalty box as good for you as it was for me?

Would someone explain the difference in a dicussion forum and a debate forum. and are we held to a higher standard than most medias?

The boards active is one thing, but the disrespect, bickering, and drama dwelling is not tolerated.

I see that you are still angry due to your three days in the penalty box for helping to fuel a fire. That was a while ago and holding a grudge is not the way to live.

As far as a suggestion, I am at a loss and do not know what suggestion you made.

Discussion and debating are both fine as long as it is done respectfully and without trying to bait others into a feud.

Now, Michael, it is time to let it go and move on as I will not argue with you; nor will I let anymore drama flow on the boards.

Continuing to stir the pot so to speak will land you nothing but more penalties and possibly another trip to the penalty box.

Yup, sad it is Amanda. I think Bob is indeed one angry fellow. If you observed closely I have been trying to make everyone stop fighting for some time now and telling them to refuse to go there..but some just don't listen! so I joke around and try not to take it all personally. I did develop a nice thick skin on here;)

Same here. Don't have much time anyway. I do fun things in what little time I have, like making pictures for my blog. Waging wars against people I don't even know really isn't my cup of tea.

I have definitely noticed an attitude change in you in the past month or so, Ingrid. You seem at peace and your posts are refreshing to say the least.
Props for realizing you were holding onto unnecessary anger and consequently letting it go. A lot of people are unable to do that.

After getting to know Nor a lot better, I have to agree with your statement about her, Bob. She stands up for what she believes in, which is justice for and from all sides, and she doesn't let the fear of penalties curb her. I respect that. She's also amazingly unbiased... but maybe that's my bias blinding me :)

Yup, Jane I have let go of much of the anger, maybe even all of it. At some point in your life you come to realize that people can keep you captive with their thoughts on you and vice versa. It's a trap and I'm glad I'm out of it. It may be due to my counseling studies also.
