Britt, just re-read my last post about forging and such, I didn't mean your bible, since I don't know much about it, but I was talking about our holy book, and yeah, btw, who said God would tell us to "hate" a group of people, you have just said that your God gives you the opportunity to believe in things and you are free, then God doesn't tell us to "hate". That is number one.

Number two, please dear members, try to be kind when you defend your beliefs, we respect them and everything, but we only have a different way of thinking.

I will share, Amanda, after I eat. :D No superpowers for me because of fasting, I'm afraid! Actually I do not believe in people who fly (or some other wondrous achievement) because they've fasted. I'm a bit reasonable in my religion beliefs, as reasonable as religion allows the person to be that is. To an atheists I couldn't claim the same, not because of God mind you, that's the most reasonable thing in the religion (to a religious person that is). It's because of other things, miracles, angels and totally out-of-this-world stuff you believe in along with the religion.

I find all forms of religion to be very fascinating. And I'm really glad this was started because shamefully before this I didn't know a thing about Ramadan, who celebrated it and what it exactly entailed. (sorry that was just a mindless ramble)

Oh good god. I said it as a general statement. I didn't single ANYONE out. Calm down.

The only reason I said teasing him as an example was to point out there are more to posts. Next time ill just be quiet and watch people get penalties. No biggie.

Sorry i did not read all., but Nora when said ordered didn't mean Command, we always have the choice to do whether the right or wrong, but there are certain red lines in every religion as far as I know and that's what I guess she meant.

like if I was to explain things again MY way, we are told about the virtues of this month, the reward are the virtues themselves..the good deeds, the sense of being a good person. Np body can know whether yours intentions are good or not, except yourself! We do what we are told but by choice, by faith. Now the compassion comes with treatment and i environment...Depends on how you are raised up and in what medium (my opinion)
