My friend had an Amy Winehouse concert DVD that we liked to watch sometimes. I gotta say, she was a bit of a trainwreck, but I kind of have a soft spot for raw, unpolished performances. That lady was slurring every word, but man. She could hit every single note with her non-words. Later videos get sadder - watching her thin, broken body moving jerkily... but then this voice!

I didn't mention Adele because if you live in California, you have heard 5 of her tracks played on repeat on every radio station for years.
