So.. Any of you following it, cheering for a team or you guys are just watching your muscles deteriorating slowly front of the comp?

I was blown away by the US!!!! They were so good!!!! But I am a German fan :) Also Belgium and Costa Rica is a joy to watch

Obviously I had to follow England....

But I picked Belgium as my second team. (I am a Chelsea fan and have been for nearly 30 years..) Belgium have 3 Chelsea players in their squad.

I thought the US were unlucky, if it had gone to penalties I am sure Tim Howard would have saved half of them.

Actually the Netherlands play very sloppy, everytime I was surprised that they went on lmao (Mexico was nerve-wrecking, but that might not be the best match to bring up...). Our new coach is brilliant though, but we've had a fair share of luck as well. Everytime we only play somewhat sharper during the second half. They only seemed well-organised when they played against costa rica but that's because costa was playing defensive. We're mostly dependent of luck once the opposite team plays agressive and has a good goal keeper (as in: hoping the ball rolls their way and having Robben do his thing) ..

But I must say they make some nice goals every now and then. Let's just hope they survive tonight. ;)

Ive been cheeering Italians since forever, but they are out now.
I would expect Germany to win.
Holland was doing fine.
Now they have a tie..at the moment. We have to wait and seee how the shoutouts will go.

On reflection, most people will agree that the best team won. Germany were solid defensively, had the best midfield who were both creative and hardworking and scored plenty of goals! Pity for Messi in the final but he can't do it all. Overall I thought it was a good tournament especially the group stages. Well done Germany!
