Hey, I was thinking, what was your first thought when you heard or read the word “oxymoron”?

I first thought that it may have something to do with oxygen and a moron when I first read the word. When I first heard the word, I thought someone was trying to insult me. (English is not my native language), plus I think I only heard the “moron” part.

^ I remember the adults saying this word sometimes, and knowing it was some fancy literary term, but not really understanding it at the time haha.

I never thought of it as a possible insult but I can completely see that now... English language is strange sometimes :D
