Another Place by Milly Hayward (10 points)

Father time will always win over mother nature. This poem possets a
‘brighter’ alternative to our reality, ‘another place’ within a mirror. This
poem is not only written superbly well, but it also urges the reader to
question things like, vanity, mortality, and the chilling fact that when
all said and done, you cannot escape from yourself.

Another Place by Milly Hayward (10 points)

This was a very intriguing piece that was really thought provoking and
made me amongst others, I guess, about the other side of life, bit necessarily
what's behind the reflection staring back at us. Brilliant

    Surreal by Walter (7 points)

I appreciate how this poet’s mind works. He creates wonderful
pieces week on week and this week is no exception! He uses pleasing
rhyme to describe a riddle, offering clues, keeping you intrigued until
the very end. Although it’s terribly sad to think of a life so very ‘harsh’
that one would seek the refuge of a dream world, I imagine that when
this poet dreams, he dreams only of the best that life can bring. Will his
dreams come true, I sincerely hope so…

she's a dream that fell into reality by Star (7 points)

There's always something about stars poetry that resonates with me. This
was one of those pieces that that me said 'I can't have you so no one else
will' though I could probably be wrong.. it's like these people aren't good
together but they're not good without each other either; a definite catch 22
    scenario.

Although this is a short piece it really packs a punch within it and the
somberness of this poem is felt throughout and I can sense a lack of
self esteem, unfortunately, within this too. When one questions themselves
that is terrible for we're our own worse enemy. I've been there and after
years I'm finally learning to love myself again.

no room for racism by Em (4 points)

This sport is also known as the beautiful game, but when the so-called
fans behave like ‘thugs’ and cast awful slurs against the football players
the game becomes ugly. This poet often writes in a no-nonsense way, and
here she calls racism out and like a penalty, kicks them off the field.
