im 15 and scared of the dark....well wots in the dark

im 13, and im not scared of it any more. i used to be, but now i sort of embrace it, which is sort of weird, but i guess im just embracing the unknown...

I used to be afraid of the dark before I came to an understanding of the fact I can control nothing but my own actions, anything that can happen in the dark happens in the light all of the time.

What you cant see cant hurt you. The world disappears in the dark, which is actually comforting.

15 and still scared of the dark. I only get scared of the dark if i freak myself out or imagine something bad happening, oncei imagine it, i can't loose it lol. Too many horror films, grew up watching them lol. But yeah, i prefer to sleep with some sort of light on T.T

i love the dark, but i'm still afraid of it. haha. as Kaitlyn mentioned before about the control issues, it's true in my case, i like to be in control of what happens to me, and in the dark that's in jepordy. but then again, it's in jepordy everywhere, so i guess i have to rethink my fear. But, i still say its creepy when you're in a basement in the dark.

I am not afraid of the dark.....BUT since watching pet cemetery when I was little I will NOT walk in front of my bed when it's dark!! I get in bed with the TV on or I leave the light on and stand on my bed to turn it off.

ok the exorcist: the beginning REALLY wasnt scary! But i have to sleep with the hall light on - its too dark otherwise :( lol

lol, ive had a phobia ever since i was little, jus something ive never grown out of i suppose!
We also used 2 hav a stuffed pufferfish hanging above the doorway to our kitchen ad wen it was dark i used to think there were evil little people living inside...never did like that pufferfish!

Hey, I'm fifteen, and I can't sleep in total dark. I don't know if I am afraid of dark, but like someone else already said, what could happen in the dark. I just want a little light, tho, not much. I usually just turn on the TV and then mute it, for that little light. I love being outside, in the dark, with the stars though. But complete darkness? Yes, it scares me.

I'm afraid of alot of things, but not the dark. Well, I will admitt I do not like a strangely silent darkness. I hardly ever come across something like that though.

im scared of the dark, i have to turn my bedside lamp on before i switch my bedroom light off before i go to bed cause i cant stand to walk two metres in the dark

That's got be pretty rough...I couldn't imagine dealing with that. I love to go with my nieces on Halloween...and to not beable to because of something like or anything would kill me. But I guess spending Halloween the way you do wouldn't be so bad...lol

The dark is relaxing

I've never been scared of the dark! But a few months ago I was with my best friend and her car broke down! We had to walk down this deserted road with no street lights! After crossing a low bridge I heard some rustling in the woods...that was scary~Holly

In some cases I find the dark really relaxing...sitting in silence with no lights on gives me time to think through life...it can be quite nice. I still sometimes shudder in the dark though, of thoughts of what could be there...pretty much the same as the rest of you guys! x

I AM darkness, so I have nothing to fear of it. People who fear darkness fear because they do not know what lies within its depths.

I'm scared sh*tless of the dark...When I turn the corner in my house or someone elses I turn on the light..I have to fall asleep with my TV on so it lights up my room...I'll run dowm my hallway when no ones home scared someones following me...My parents one time had to take out the hallway light because when I'd walk down the hallway I'd turn on the light and forget to turn it off...:( paranoid

umm it depends... sometimes i let my imagination run wild and it just freaks me out... but other times i just love it cuz its so peaceful to sleep in
