Ok, I just finished read the new Harry Potter and I was wondering what you all thought about it. If you haven't read it and are planning to, you really shouldn't read on because we might disclose important things from the plot.

I enjoyed it. Umm...I have this feeling tho that before snape killed dumbledore he was reading his mind and dumbledore was telling him to do it cause better thatt than blow his cover...anyone else think that? As for malfoy I really hope he comes over to the good side, he cant not now surley.

I thought it was awesome, personally. I cried when Dumbledore died though.

I think your theory that Dumbledore told Snape to kill him is interesting, but I'm not sure if I think the same thing. I don't think Dumbledore would do that knowing all the peril that Harry and the other students would be in without him. I think his first priority was Hogwarts. But I agree with Malfoy. I hope in the end, he comes back and helps Harry kill Voldemort or something.

But anyway... all in all I really liked the book, and I can't wait for the next one.

holy friggin sh*t i cant believe that snape really WAS bad. i mean, he was fooling the good side all along, but before it said that he was fooling the bad side... its all so confusing...

I agree. I was surprised to find out the he was "bad". But, if you think about it, was he? I mean, Dumbledor and Hermione thought he was to be trusted, and he was helping the Order in book 5. Maybe Dumbledor told him to go and join the Death Eaters to save his own skin? New thoughts: Will Harry return to school next year? Will Ginny get back with Harry, who will Fawkes go to, and who did really take the locket?

I agree kinda with the thought of dumbledor telling Snape to kill him. He knew that it had to be done and so he did it. He also knew that harry would finish the search for all the remaining Horxcurses(sp) I really made me mad though when harry and ginny split, i mean they FINALLY got together. It really bugs me that i dont know who took the locket. but i hope in the next book ron and hermione get together.

I refuse to believe Snape is bad....I mean...Dumbledore always said he had his reasons for trusting Snape, right? There were REASONS why he trusted him....perhaps he was given one of those crazy unbreakable vows or w.e. There has to be a reason he did it....Dumbledore must have been just trying to....persuade Voldemore with his death that Snape was faithful, and in the end, Snapey poo with team with harry and malfoy to kick voldey's fuggin ASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!! lol!!

lol, i totaly agree with ignorant angel!!!!! i refuse to accept teh fact that snape is bad!! it's just like... woah.. and i've been thinking something else too, you know how allen rickman (snape) ALWAYS plays the bad guy in his movies?? (die hard, robin hood: prince of thieves, ect) well, i'm thinking that maybe influenced her to make snape "bad". and another thing, you know at the begining when snape makes the unbreakable curse? well, bellatrix was right there, and she is quite the brown noser, so if snape refused, she would have told voldemort. so he kinda HAD to make the promise... i dont know. its just.. snape CANT be bad!! i refuse to believe it!!!

No, she couldn't have been influenced by the movie cast. In 1997, she had already decided on the outlines for each book. I tihnk the death of Dumbledore is a pretty big part of the plot.

i cried when dumplydooore died :( i have no idea why but i have lived with his character since like erm 1997. (i got, read and looved the first book agesss before it actually became uber famous) and so loosing him wa slike loosing a friend

Well i thought the book was ok, not her best just quite a big filler. I liked the development of her characters and i have to say i think there is more to dumbledores death than what it seems. Theres the bit where Hagrid says that he heard snape and Dumbledore arguing and snape saying he couldnt carry on. i think that may have been about snape killing him and i also think it was too easy to make snape bad. oh and why was dumbledore pleading? he doesnt need to plead and i dont think it fits. well thats my thoughts on it. Also i think if you dont like harry potter there is no point writing anything here this is about the new book, if you dont like it then its not relevant

I thought the book was awesome. I can't believe Snape would do that. I hate him. I felt bad for malfoy though. (HOTTIE) He and his family were going to be killed if he didn't kill Dumbledoor. And I was very surprised when Dumbledoor was begging for his life. I think it's odd however, that Dumbledoor know...a lot of things that no one knows he knows. And I think that he should have known about Snape like he knew about Malfoy. I thought for a fact that after I read the 5 book last Summer, Sirius would not be dead. I personally can't wait for the next book that she writes. Oh and I also cried when Dumbledoor died...

I kinda like Harry Potter. I never understood the whole 100 some odd people in line at midnight thing, but JK Rowlings' books are good. I personally liked Harry Potter And The Chamber of Secrets...

I think it'll be between a year and 1/2 to 3 years before the next book is released. At least that's what the paper said.
