Why?

One of my friends took a philosophy class and his exam consisted of one question: "Why?" For every person, there is a different answer. So... If I ask you, simply, "Why?" what would be your response?

The Question Why Can Have Numerous Anserws And/Or Meanings, It Depends On What The Essay Was About And The Subject xoxo-Nikki-xoxo

To Nikki's reply: That's the thing. It was a philosophy class and the final exam was a single piece of paper with a one sentence direction: "Answer this question: 'Why?'"
So let's get some serious deep thought going here. Think outside the box.

Why do we need to know why? Why must there be an explanation to everything, instead of just accepting life as is. When something goes wrong, automatically we think of the "If"s and "Why"s...instead of realizing that everything happens for a reason, yet everything happens for no reason at all. There is no explanation, there is no cause and effect; there is nothing. We live, we learn, we love, and we die...the end.

haha pretty good for like 1 in the morning (if i do say so myself...*sticks tongue out*)

ooh i got another one! lol...

    Why?

Because it's my belief that this is this way because (insert answer here) and that is that way because (insert answer here). "Why" will have a completely different answer for everyone who answers it...the simple truth is that there is no right answer. Why do we live? To love, say some, to die, say others. Why does God exist or not exist? Because I believe in him, and you do not. There is no "why" to life...there is only us indefinitly pondering the cause of one thing and the effect of another. "Why" is relative to the question being asked or the situation being discussed.

    hmm...incomplete but i'm going 2 bed now...lol...

Ok, time for my full answer.

    Why?

I could look forward and divine providence to continue or hide in a hole if that was my desire. What has to be admitted is the ceaseless drive to persevere, to endure.

Left right, up down, forwards backwards, yes no, on or off and so on ad nauseum... all irrelevant. When introspection and speculation are used properly the only tangible answer I can attribute is:

    Because it was dark.
