I am afraid of me...

I have been paying attention to myself...and...(no offense like its bad)...I think Im turning gay...Now...its not a bad thing to me, But I fear of how others would think of me and Im afraid what will happen when I explain to my, supposly anti-gay, parents? Any ideas...:'(

Don't worry about it, kid. Who you are is who you are. Talk to other gay people and make friends. When you have the courage, tell your parents. They'll understand (my sister's bi...)

It may take some time for them to accept it but if they love you, they can accept you for who you are.

be yourself. thats all you can do. your parents might be angry at first, but as time goes by they will eventually get over it if they love you, which i am pretty sure they probably do. i have alot of gay friends. i wish you luck.

there's nothing wrong with it, thats who you are. it might just be nothing though. i thought i was gay at one time... turns out i just didnt find any of the guys i was around interesting enough :) it's not the easiest of lives i dont think, being gay. you'll go through a lot of verbal and possibly physical abuse but that's who you are and the people who really matter in your life will accept and love you no matter what.

umm katie... i know you probably think we care and everything. and i'm sure some people will be sucked into your attention seeking but this thread is not about you. if you really want to tell people about your life post another thread about cutting so it gets locked like all the others.

good luck coming out in the open michael :)

It may take a lot of time for your parents to accept your sexuality...which i think is ridiculous. Love is supposedly unconditional. Your sexuality shouldn't be something that your parents shut you out for because that's something you can't help.

That's like a Caucasion mother looking down upon her own son because he turned out looking like his father....who was a Hispanic. The son couldn't make his own skin tone, so i find it all very dumb.

Chris...i don't think i've ever come across you on this site before....but your humor rocks lmfao

"If you're a dude who loves dudes, it's cool! Just say, "Mom, Dad, I love dudes, dudes love me. It's all good."

Either a.) they'll understand and accept you, or; b.) they'll straight kick you out of their house.

If "B" happens - just move in with another dude who loves dudes! Problem solved! And the world keeps turning!

And stay serious about America! Yeah!"

    HAHAHAHAHA...

Hey Michael, one of my best friends came out about 6 months ago to his friends, and about two months ago to his parents. His friends all accepted him for who heis, i've in fact become closer to him now he has come out, and whereas he used to have no male friends, he has countless male friends now. With friends you may lose a few homophobic ones yes, but most will stand by you. With your parents, they may freak at first but they will come to terms with it, it's just a bit of a shock. I havn't looked at your age yet, but im guessing you're in your teens, apparently this is normal for people your age to be experiencing these type of feelings, and don't "come out" so to speak until your ABSOLUTELY sure you are gay. Otherwise it may cause problems.

    Good luck and take care,
    Kim

Some people will understand, and some people won't. Your true friends will stand by you, and your parents should understand.

From the looks of it...I guess it was bad...Am i correct?

  • ReBecca

i dont think you should hide it until you find your "one true one" and then keep it only secret with HIM. that would be denying who you are, and you can only live so long a secret life and denying who you are, before it all catches up with you. be true to who you are. those who dont accept it, were never your REAL friends. and you will make more that more suit your lifestyle.

Thx for the advice...just 1 more question ( I know...im asking for attention...srry...) How should I come out...when would be the best time...?

The best time would be when you're more comfortable with yourself about it. :)
