what's your favorite

The totality of the poem, and the idea it conveys. The end, if shocking, is more appealing.

hum, well I like it all, i like the end if its good

i like all of it as long as its good i cant really choose a cretain PART but i might have a certain line or 2 that i luv.

I don't have a favorite part, because I think that the entire poem as a whole is what makes it special. The title is an eyecatcher for those who "jugde books by the cover" and the begining catches the attention for one to read on, the beginning keeps the interest, and the end usually fades away... at least that's what I think... I love every poem because behind a poem there is so much meaning and emotion. I just love that.

the endings of most poems tend to be the best. by any writer. they just tie everything together so perfectly into two lines. but you have to get through the poem to fully appreciate it.

The feeling it gives me. The poem as a whole can't have a fantastic beggining and terrible end, it would just ruin the whole feeling and vibe I get from it. So the poem has to be the same intensity, or at least the same vibe in order for me to get a strong feeling from it. I like poems that have me reading them over and over again.

So what you're trying to say, Renee, is that reading good poetry gives you an orgasm...LOL :P

But i have to say the feeling as well. Something that puts you in an entirely different place in your head is great to read over and over again. I could return to the same swaying green grass fields under the sun, and the clear, smooth flowing river that i could put my feet in and just sit. All just by reading a poem.

MY favorite would have to be the beginning and the ending. Sometimes the middle, depends on how good the poem is.
