*Poetry Contest 2*

Hey everyone! I had a few requests from some people to make a second contest! So here it is! I have changed some rules!

Rules
1.)Only English poems
2.)No poems longer than 30 lines
3.)I will be the judge
4.)One poem per poet
5.)Poet MUST be author of poem
6.) I will determine the Top 5 poems in order
7.) Most importantly HAVE FUN!

This contest will end when I think there are enough poems to make placements!

Well i don't know if this poem is meaningful but its ten lines... enjoy :P

In his tower way up high
Touching the endless diamond sky
Watching as the world goes by
Always asking how or why
Contemplating suicide

His pain he can not abide
Drifting away in the tide
The last thing he saw before he died
A little girl with flooded eyes
Then to life he said goodbye

Thru Shut Eyes

Looking up at the world around
Robin's egg blue turns to dull gray
The sky, once flourishing with imagination
Now seems like a dagger to my eyes' dismay

Those fluffy, pure clouds
Floating aimlessly overhead
Once looked weightless and free
Now they're crushing me instead

That yellow-orange glare
Use to envelop me like clothes
Keeping warm my whole body
But now my blood has froze

Cooling me from the day
Was the refreshing wind
But now that silky breeze
Burns across my skin

Flowers, tranquil and beautiful
Released a soothing perfume
But instantly, the petals wither
Never again will they bloom

Destiny has called my name
Its voice dark and bold
People gather, surrounding me
Even still, I feel so cold

The world once seemed so perfect
Never did it reveal its guise
Death approaches all that lives
For this is the world thru shut eyes

I'm gonna close this contest on 11/06!

does it matter really
who created it all
all that really matters
is what people choose to believe
from the beauty all around

I have to go
to a land far off
I'll be flying from up above
it'll be tough
but I think I can handle

up up way I go
flying to death ahead
over there to Iraq I go
flying to death row ahead

it'll be tough

there's no beach
not even my sandals
but once again, I think I can handle

A Soulless Fairy

You said you were my best friend,
And so I believe you,
But look what you did to me,
My heart is now broken into pieces.

You tell me your pain and sorrows,
But do you ever feel my sufferings,
All I ever did was try to help you out,
And now look what I get in return,

I never wish for anything from you,
The only thing that I want to maintain,
Is none other than our friendship,
That was meant to be forever.

But it turns out forever is fake after all,
My heart is broken, out friendship has fallen apart,
I no longer have a soul, and my wings are gone,
Now I'm left with nothing, I'm just a soulless fairy.

Fifth Place is Flourishing Tree by Steve Flash~ Great poem! I loved the wording and the subject of this poem. You are a very talented poet keep on writing I love your work!

Fourth Place is Off I Go By by ItalianStallion~ I can tell this was a poem from the heart. It had sooo much emotion and was VERY deep. Good luck in Iraq and I hope you all the best!

Third Place is JL~ I thought that was a great and meaningful poem. It seemed to be deep and I liked that. I love your writing!

Second Place is A soulless Fairy by Lost Fairy~ You did an excellent job of wording this word. I can tell it is very deep and I loved it. Keep on writing you're great!

First place is..DRUM ROLLS PLEASE..*DRUM ROLL*...........Thru Shut Eyes by Keep n touch~ Wow what a great poem. It was very meaningful and I thought you wrote with amazing emotion. Keep it up. I love your poetry!

I would like to tell everyone that you guys did an AMAZING job! It was tuff to post the winners because you all are VERY VERY talented. I tried my best. Keep up the great work everyone and I am looking foreword to reading more of your wonderful poems in the future! HOPE YOU HAD FUN!

The Vile Of My Heart

I wait for you to turn around,
A wait that lasts a thousand years.
What keeps you from coming to me?
Could it be your silly fears?

The world around us changes,
As you slowly walk away.
I guess I'm the dumb one,
Who still waits everyday.

I wished to pour my heart,
Into a vile for you to wear.
I did it and it worked,
But you couldn't get it, you weren't there.

I've carried your emotions,
On my back with my own,
But now I have to drop them,
Cause I can't do this all alone.

The times you said you loved me,
Were all just one big lie.
As you keep on walking,
It makes me want to die.

You sent back one of your minions,
To make your exit just complete.
He took the vile of my heart,
And smashed it at my feet.

Endless past,
endless tears,
forever sadness,
forever fears

Past,
Things that last,
in your mind,
and intertwine,
and then u find,
what lies,
ahead
across the bed,
on what was said,
that leave u dazed,
and amazed
captured and left,
with out any breath,
ran over by the truck,
now in awestruck,
the past is things,
that brings,
happiness
and yet sadness,
to your mind again,

Tears,
from fears
never from cheers,
that u see clear,
with no one near,
to cuddle
and snuggle,
next to you,
and see the true,
feeling that u control
and hold,
in your soul
Tears of being sad,
never glad,
salty water drops
and crops
on your face,
and trace's
down,
to your frown

Sadness,
nothing good,
but is understood,
under your hood,
we have our sadness.
always takes a part,
of your heart,
or used in your cart
from shopping at wal-mart,
some people are mean,
and obscene
to cause a scene,
and they leave u sad

Fears,
lead to tears,
that scare u,
tare u,
and stares u,
down,
to your ego is to the ground,
and your with no sound,
u have choked,
and croaked,
because your scared,
