    Lonely now,
    As I always was,
    I cry the lonely cry,
    Of a wolf.
The moon is mine and only,
    And it shines so brightly,
The stars are mine to contemplate.

The hunters took away my cubs,
    They slaughtered them,
And hung their hides outside their huts,
They skinned them with rusty knives,
    And ate their meat.

    My children will not howl,
    The way I howl now,
    The lone wolf's cry,
    Echoes into the lonely sky.
    The people complain,
    Of the noise I make,
But did they hear my cubs,
As they called out in agony.

    Did they hear the father,
    Calling,
    Did they hear me howling,
    Falling.
    Do they understand now,
    Im allowed to cry now,
    Mourning.

    Now they tell each other,
    Let's hunt the wolves,
Give the hides to the butcher.
But now in the night they're forced to listen,
    As I cry,
As I cry to the moon.

    They took my baby cubs,
Because they said they were dangerous.
    I mean them no harm,
    But they took my children,

    Now they'll have to listen,
    They'll just have to listen,
    As I cry.

    The Beeze and I (Rictameter)

    Shaking
    and shivering,
i heard the sticks and leaves -
their crumbling sound of desertion -
as you slipped between the trees and faded.
like a tired sigh; all at once
    the breeze lifted itself
    we stood alone,
    shaking

    Ode to Autumn
    by HansRik

The fresh autumnal breeze caress'th my cheek,
the joy this brings I can no longer seek
in Summer beauty or the Spring's "love" trick.

The cloudy sky does shine and makes birds sing,
my ears taste their sweetest romancing.
    Forever will their composition ring.

The flowers sigh their natural perfumes,
and gently as ever they have stopped to bloom.
My nose, thus hopes, their last breaths to consume.

The leaves are bound to lose their green pigments,
and soon the flowers too, will lose their scent.
But lo! Nature's beauty will never end.

    Sunset

A fireball of the most beautiful red,
mixed with streaks of sunshine yellow.
Makes all feel happy and energetic,
    yet so calm and mellow.

    Such beauty is that sight,
with a background of fading blue.
    What a breathtakingly beautiful sight.
It makes everything seem so pure and new.

    To appreciate something extravagant,
    is to appreciate this sight.
To ignore that very same thing,
would take a person's entire strength and might.

    So slowly, yet so fast,
    it vanishes from your sight.
Which is why you can't wait
for it to come back tomorrow night.

Hey, thought I'd give it a try. This is my only nature poem, about the metaphorical strength and hope that a tree can have. Good luck to everyone! :)

    Unbroken silence screams to loud
In the empty field where it stands proud

A single tree sprout from the ground
*As fairies stare, they are spellbound

The leaves are enchanted with shimmer and glow
Twig upon branch, it grows and grows

The grass plains around it are nearly dead
But in the rise of the moon, shall come a new bed

One day before, this was the valley of grief
Hidden in the shadows were abondoned dreams

Now hope stands tall, strong as the tree
This hope brings faith to set us free

    My Photosynthesising Friend

I have a very clever friend,
    His name is Mr Plant
He can do all sorts of clever things
But not like maths or art

If you put him in the ground
He'll stand up straight and tall
He pushes roots into the soil
    So that he doesn't fall

He gives me what I need to live
And food for himself as well
I'm glad he isn't in my class
    He's brainy, I can tell

He likes to sunbathe in the sun
He soaks up all the light
He breathes just like a human
When I'm in bed at night

    The creek
    by Just-take-my-heart-i-want-you-to-have-it

    I'm sitting by the creek
the creek is a way they speak

    they speak of nothing much
    nothing much is worth while

    while the trickling water flows
    flows over the little pebbles

    pebbles without an error
    an error is like nothing

    nothing is like everything
    everything is wild

    wild that speaks
    speaks around the creek

the creek that I'm sitting by
I'm sitting by a resting animal

a resting animal has to breath
    breath for life

    life is the creek
the creek that I'm sitting by

    *i hope you enjoyed it*

this one is sort of about nature

    "the Cave"

There is a cave on a far off shore
Which gapes out across an unknown sea
    A great mouth eternally hungry
The maw of a monster yearning to pull free

Mottled grey are the rocks of the cliff face
From which the cave's entrance yawns
    Inside, stalagmites and stalactites
    Grow in mysterious threatening forms

Inside the cave it is black as pitch
Except for an eerie phosphorescent glow
That illuminates a deep underground lake
How deep that water is nobody knows

At dusk a sea nymph rises from the water
Her perfect body as clear as glass
Her voice as she sings is heavenly sweet
No human who hears can get past

Bones lie at the bottom of the black pool
Of men she lured in with her song
who drowned as they tried to reach her
    the lust inside too strong

Beyond the nymph's glassy black lake
Beyond the cave floor, black and hard
at the back of this cave full of malice
Lies a host of wreaks, a ships grave yard

Such is the fate to all who wander
    Into this forgotten ocean grave
Whether by nymph or craggy rock
None will ever leave the cave.

    There is so much more

Have you seen the world in silver,
as the sun shines through the rain?
Have you seen the purple sunset,
    dyeing thus the sylvan plain?
Have you seen a crescent fullmoon
    casting shadows of your dream?
Then you should not gaze in wonder
    at the starry sky, agleam.
