"the Cave"

There is a cave on a far off shore
Which gapes out across an unknown sea
A great mouth eternally hungry
The maw of a monster yearning to pull free

Mottled grey are the rocks of the cliff face
From which the cave's entrance yawns
Inside, stalagmites and stalactites
Grow in mysterious threatening forms

Inside the cave it is black as pitch
Except for an eerie phosphorescent glow
That illuminates a deep underground lake
How deep that water is nobody knows

At dusk a sea nymph rises from the water
Her perfect body as clear as glass
Her voice as she sings is heavenly sweet
No human who hears can get past

Bones lie at the bottom of the black pool
Of men she lured in with her song
who drowned as they tried to reach her
the lust inside too strong

beyond the nymph's glassy black lake
beyond the cave floor, black and hard
at the back of this cave full of malice
lies a host of wreaks, a ships grave yard

such is the fate to all who wander
into this forgotten ocean grave
whether by nymph or craggy rock
none will ever leave the cave.

Silent End-

The rain was drizzling silently
Seemingly dejected by the sky
As if pleading for forgiveness
Sensing the end draws nigh

Standing in solitary
Waiting for him to come
Trembling from the cold
As her body turned numb

Finally he appeared,
His lips trembling with disdain.
Explaining how it wasn't meant to be,
Why their relationship caused pain.

Ever so softly she felt her heart shatter,
As bosom of their love is being rived.
With the mentation of never seeing him again,
There was no way her soul could have survived.

Loosing their last moments together,
He told her to take care.
Right there he sent her taxied home,
His heart full of despair.

Silent tears he cried,
All drowned by the pouring rain.
Thinking about his hidden enigma,
That burned his every vein.

Cancer ignited his painful journey,
The thoughts of telling her tore him down.
It wasn't two years until he left this world,
That was when this diary she finally found.

Dear Mom...

Where were you when I first learned to ride my bike?
When I met the first guy i ever really liked
When i got my very first Teddy bear
Did you ever even really care?
Ya you gave me a few birthday gifts
but where were you when i learned to play my first guitar riff?
Where were you when I broke my wrist
Or when i got my very first kiss
All of these impotent things you missed
My first steps, my first word
you never even heard
My first laugh, my first cry
All these things just passed you by
I bet your always their to wipe your other daughters tears
chase away all of her fears
as loving to her as you can be
but you were never their for me
They say actions speak louder than words
words from you I have not heard
It's these actions that i judge you by
Twelve years of my life was one big lie
I have never heard form you
No not one hello
no I love yous so it must not be so
All i have is a picture and a birthday card
so pushing you out of my life shouldn't be to hard
because you were never there
Now tell me why should I care?

You may attack me with hatefulness
With your squinted, judging eyes,
You may try to hurt me with your words
But still, I will, survive.

Does my strength of mind upset you?
You can try to break me down,
I feel like I am made of steel
I won’t alter, I won’t frown.

Like the strongest people
With the strongest state of mind,
I am too strong to break
I’ll survive.

Did you want to see me torn down?
Shaking, nervous and scared?
I’m sorry but that won’t happen
I arrived calm and prepared.

Do my comebacks really shock you?
Did you think I’d cry instead?
I talk like I don’t even care
About anything you said.

Does my constant calmness bug you?
Do you hate not getting through?
For I am too happy to listen
You can never spoil my mood.

I'll survive

SONG OF THE STAG

Through the broken bough
Streams the long torn sun
Gazing at this scene
The destruction has begun.

For his long lived home,
Has begun to shatter
To house those of evil
His life they will now scatter

However grand his antlers,
However rich his fur,
These creatures know, not of love,
Their lives an honourless blur.

For his herd they care not,
His children slaughtered throats,
Stain the leaves red crimson.
Their liquid spotted coats.

The leaves no longer shine,
The forest knows its doom,
Now lies the broken heart,
The boughs that used to loom.

Through the crushed new leaves of spring,
The stag will meet his fate,
At the hands of the evil one,
His life will have to wait.

Just like those fawns,
He is forced down on his knees,
Spilling crimson blood,
Falling like the trees.

Broken Smile

I smile a broken smile
To hide my true feelings
So you can't see what's really going on
I don't want you to know
That I cry myself to sleep every night
That my heart breaks every time I see you
That knowing I'm not with you kills me inside
This broken smile
Is the only thing keeping you
From knowing everything about me
It's my broken smile
That keeps all my secrets
Locked away from you
You can't see all my feelings
I like it that way
My broken smile
Hides all from you
It hides how I cry over you all the time
It hides my sadness for not getting you
Without my broken smile
You would know everything
I won't let that happen

Selfish

When you're alive, your miserable
And all you want to do is die
You cut and make yourself bleed
You get addicted to that pain
Because it's the only one you can control
You mope around saying nothing is worth it
And you just wish you were dead
Then when the night comes
And you can't take it anymore
You cut real deep
You feel life leaving your body
After you're finally dead
You think to yourself
Yes, I don't have to deal with life anymore
You see you mother and father
They are crying over your lifeless body
What have you done
You were a selfish fool
You killed yourself and ruined your family's life
What was the point in killing yourself
So you could be free
But look at what it did to them
They're torn up inside
They think they did something wrong
They lost their child
Your family loved you and you left them
You did that, and never thought
You didn't care what it would do to them
And now they will be dying inside
For the rest of their lives

My poem is called " lonely love" ...

Why am I so lonely,
When I look up at the sky?
Why am I so lonely,
When I sit at home and cry?
Why am I so lonely?
As I'm walking down the street
Why am I so lonely
Wishing our eyes would never meet?

As I stare up at the sky,
I search longingly for you
Gazing for the perfect star,
Almost touching,
But not reaching
The love so pure and true.

I sit along the window ledge,
tears flow heavily from my eyes
once there was a time
I had you in my arms at night,
Never having to say our goodbyes.

The streets are bare and empty
I walk them late into the night
We used to walk together
Hand in hand we walked,
Our love was all so right.

Some nights I really wish
That I hadnt met you at all
So that when you broke
my heart in pieces
I wouldnt hurt so much
Every time you built me up
Just to let me fall

So I ask myself
Why am I so lonely?
I still dont have a clue
Maybe its because
Im still so in love with you.

The hollow flame of christmas
is but a memory
suspended in the wind;
unanimated and sore.

a discordant lullaby
self-seething
and unsettling to the touch.

resonating within
the emptiness
a frost-bitten chill
no amount of soothing
could thaw.

and in all my selfishness,
not once did i wonder
if maybe,
it wasn't
meant to be felt
like it was
and did
that first time.

Lost and wandering
Through mystic rain
I travel the city
And feel no pain

Police cars whisk by me
Ambulance sirens scream
This world is so much worse
Than a nightmare of a dream

The road that lies ahead of me
Glares a warning sign
The tears that touch the ground tonight
Are not only just mine

The angel that watches over me
Has fallen yet again
She drank the poison that was my mistake
And it's filled her heart with sin

With only 'I hate you' on my lips
I had left my home
I have no destination
I just want to roam

With only 'I hate you' on my lips
I left his heart hollowed
And I know it's my fault
But I still wish he had followed

Those three words have left me by myself
So my angel tried to save me
She took away my pain
Made me blind so I can't see

Now I'm here listening to the world
Nothing is quite right
I can feel the evil around me
Even though I can't see tonight

Don't Sleep

The fountain of tear's stream down my cheek's, as I reminisce about my past . The memories of my lost love one's, continue to beak my heart in half .

I use to think that they would always be around . But as I attended each and everyone of their funeral's I felt as if my whole world had crashed down .

You see I fell asleep on life, and all it's cruel, cruel way's . But thats my fault, I should have answered all their calls, and now with my heart I pay .

Each and everyone of them took a little piece of it with when they left you see . I look back now on all the good time's we had, and wonder how fate could be so mean .

All the promises I made to call, and pay visits, I admit I didn't keep . But I thought I would have plenty of time, so I fell asleep .

DON'T SLEEP ! I say to you, It's the biggest mistake I made . If I could do It all over again, I would call, visit and keep all my promises I make .

"Broken Hearts"

You've gone on to someone new.
You've got me feeling down.
Made me want to end my life.
Just to end this frown.

You said you only broke my heart,
But how can that be true?
You said things would get better.
But I'm still in love with you.

You said other people break people's,
Hearts every single day.
And how are you such a horrible person?
By living life this way.

Sadly you didn't break my heart.
You stole it in my sleep.
You still have it to this day.
You're stabbing it softly as I speak

It takes a very special girl,
To make me feel this Weak.
I thought I was stronger then this.
But you've made my heart so meek.

Why is it I pray for death?
How can this even be?
Dear Lord, Please take my life soon,
Living in hell is killing me.

You will never be able to go back,
From all the things you've said.
A cut on my wrist for every lie.
Someday you'll make me dead.
