Embarassing Problem..HELP!

You can do everything with glasses on. Just don't make a big deal out of it and no one will ever say anything about your glasses. Don't go OH LOOK AT MY STUPID GLASSES or I HATE MY GLASSES and don't tell people around you that you are getting them either. The worse difference from your normal life would be that people might be like "Oh, you have glasses?" NO BIG DEAL.

And also, wouldn't you rather see who/what your kissing? Imagine kssing your locker or something, that is embarassing.

Or get contacts, but contacts aren't natural, (plastic in your eye is not natural) and I am against them, and really against the colored ones, why would someone hide themselves over something as simple as eye color?

Anything on Television is either stereotyped, or exaggerated or at least most things. For example, most of the time, teenage guys who have glasses on television are considered geeks or nerds

Yes, glasses can slowly correct your vision after like 4 or 6 years it went back to normal, but still I kept on getting weaker and weaker prescriptions

It happens to a lot of people, you just have to wear them for the whole time you are awake, except for like when you shower and stuff

Boil the carrots or uice the carrots and add lots of sugar to the water/juices (without the carrots in it)

Cooked carrots taste worse than raw ones, in my opinion, and I fined cured (yes cured) baby carrots are the sweetest and the best.

And that opinion to me= A BUNCH OF CRAP, I have a strong feeling the person who wrote this didn't have glasses.

Anyways, the only way this can happen is if the doctor gave you a stronger perscription from what you actually needed, and it wasn't exact, therefore your eyes were becoming weaker because the galsses were doing more work they were supposed to. That's why they always tell people not to let other people try on your glasses because it can and possibly will ruin their vision.

Also, I read that article before getting my glasses, I like to research. How about you ask your optometrist? Call or email or something or just visit if you can and speak to her/him about it and see if she/he has any pamphlets

You know what, alot of people are getting glasses now... Between glasses and braces - it's like the new 'in' thing medically. Lucky enough though - I have found that of all my friends that have glasses look incredibly good in them! Myself- well I look like Stitch, a fly, or simply an alien in glasses ( but my site is wonderful :P) So anyway, point is, glasses could be your personal godsend! lol I bet you look so good in them. And they don't stop a kiss - no clashing nor crashing... Unless he wants to kiss you in the eye :S

Hey, i'm a guy, and i've had glasses since the third grade. i'm now a senior. i can tell you a few things. 1) i've never had a problem with kissing a girl, not even when french kissing. really, they just don't get in the way. most the time i don't even think about my glasses. they get annoying when i go swimming, etc., because i can't see worth crap without them.
2) that article is true many cases. even if the prescription is EXACTLY right, it's still doing that certain portion of work for your eyes, thereby making them weaker. my eyesight is tons worse now than it was in third grade, though it is deteriorating less rapidly now.
3) don't freak out. there are things you can do. vitamin supplements, or food with the right vitamins in them, do help. also, my grandparents have done a few things and actually improved their eyesight greatly. for one, they had a program on video tape that was an eye exercise program. they did this every evening, and it strengthened their eye muscles again. another thing they did was to wear an older prescription, one that was weaker, so that their eyes had to do more of the work. now they only need their glasses to read, they don't wear them all the time. and if all else fails, there's laser eye surgery. i know quite a few people who have undergone this procedure. it's quick, and it really does work. of course, the surgery is quite an expensive thing, so trying out the exercises and such first would be a good idea. if you want to know what that video was, i can find out from my grandparents. anyways, hope things turn out for the best. ciao~lyn
