Heyy this is my new contest! It's all about friendship! I'm going to start judging after about 20 people!

I Miss You Friend.

I wake up during the night,
In cold sweats and tears.
I had another dream of you,
And I wish you were here.

It has been a while since we spoke,
Even longer since we were together.
I know that if you were here with me,
Things would be so much better.

I know that you are always there for me,
But things just are not the same.
Do not forget that I love and miss you,
And please never forget my name.

When you are not around me,
I feel your presence anyway.
Remember I am always here for you,
Whether dark of night or light of day.

Things are so much different now,
We do not see each other everyday.
But we grow up, things have to change,
And I had to move away.

Though it is so easy to pick up the phone,
And give you a call before bed.
I trade that in, for whatever reason,
And write an e-mail instead.

Maybe because it seems so much easier,
Since you do not hear my voice.
I do not feel vulnerable telling you things,
And you do not have a choice.

Friends forever, we always said,
Together until the end.
No matter what happens, the distance between,
On me you can depend.

Now I learned that I should cherish,
Every second I spend with you.
Though it is hard to be so far away,
I know we will get through.

Best Friends

Best Friends Are There For Eachother,
They Cheer Eachother Up When The Other Is Down,
They Get Eachothers Silly Jokes.
Even Though They Get In Fights And Say Mean Things,
They Always Forgive And Forget.

No Matter What Happens They Stick Together And Help Eachother Out.
You Can Tell Eachother Secrets And Know For A Fact That They Wont Tell Anyone.

Trusting Them With Your Inner Most Thoughts,
Talking To Them About Everything You Keep Inside.

Best Friends Are There For Eachother.
So I Hope We're There For Eachother No Matter What,
Through The Thick And Thin, The Good And Bad, The Smiles And Frowns.

CAUSE NO ONE COULD GET HIM OUT OF HIS LONELINESS

AND THE PUNISHMENT WAS REALLY SO HARD TO BARE
TO FIND A TRUE FRIEND WHO CARES FOR HIM WAS SOMETHING RARE
AND STILL HE IS LOST IN HIS DIS-BARE

HER FACE WAS SO BEAUTIFUL HE COULDN'T DENY
SO HE MOVED CLOSER TO KNOW HER NAME
BUT SHE DISAPPEARED LIKE SHE HAS NEVER CAME

NEXT TIME HE SAW HER , HE WENT AND TALKED
AND HE FELT FROM HIS FEELINGS HE WAS ROPED
HE ASKED HER FOR HER NAME
AND SHE ANSWERED HIM WITH SOFT WORDS LIKE RAIN
AND THE SMILE FOUND A WAY TO HIS HEART ONCE AGAIN

A Poem to a Friend

Always there to listen
Helping me with my problems
Making everything seem better

You can make me smile
When I'm in the darkest of moods

You're always happy
Caring, friendly, and sweet
Nothing can ever go wrong

When you are there for me
You share my pain
My hate, my hurt

You make me feel cared about
I know I could tell you anything
And you would understand
You would help me through

You cared about me
When nobody else would
You were the first to show kindness
And because of that you will always be
My number one friend

Best Friends

We became friends, and then without even knowing it
We became the best friends everyone dreams about.
We laughed together, cried together, and even
Told our deepest and darkest secrets to each other.
And trusted one another with everything we had.

We knew that when summer came, our friendship
Would be tested since we lived almost three hours apart.
It was a hard summer, being without your best friend,
But we talked on the phone, and even seen each other
The few times that we could manage to get away.

We finally made it back, back to college where
We could see each other daily and talk.
But then something happened, you started dating a guy,
Who was always there and actually cared about you.
And this affected our friendship more than we thought.

Our first actual fight was the beginning of the end of
What could have been a life long beautiful friendship.
A guy, who would have thought something like that,
Could end an untouchable bond between two people.
I never thought our friendship could end.

Best friends are suppose to rely on each other,
Expect them to be there to help you when life hits you hard,
But thats when I realized our friendship was in trouble.
When I needed you most, to tell me everything
Would be OK but you were no where near.

Within one year, two friends once so close, find it hard
To even say hi, much less hold a conversation.
When I left college, you promised we'd still remain close,
But in life's tragedies and heartaches I realized
We are best friends, but only in a dream.

older one.. I just noticed I use 'so' waaay too much in my older poetry...

Hybrid Mind

these skies are too narrow,.. to show our connection..
this water is too shallow.. to hold our reflection
descending from the stars and rising from the seas
point blank in the middle.. thats where we meet

two people that differ in every sense of the word
theyre so alike in reality,.. but so absurd
to some it might seem,.. but i know the deal..
i am a fraction of what makes it so real..

above the depths so fast i am sinking
beneath the skies until i fade away
ill always know exactly what you'rethinking
and precisely what youre going to say

an extension like this is so rare
our life lines create the square
as i stare off into the time to come
im so young and so unprepared

you show me where i sometimes fall short
and point out the times that it spills over
you unveil the mirrored view of all sorts
and remind me what its like to still be sober

half of whats yours, and half of whats mine
is fractured off from the dense skyline
and structured into flesh to combine
a hybrid mind that no one can define

Friends

Friends are suppose to be there for you
Not leave you in the dust
Friends are suppose to help you
Not leave you crying
Friends are the ones you can call in the middle of the night if u needs to talk to them
And they should listen not hang up on you
Friends are the people you can count on if you are in trouble to help you the best they can to keep you out to trouble
Not to ignore you and talk about your problems to other people behind your back
Friends will never talk about you to other people in a bad way
And they should never leave you hanging

The day you left I'll never forget the feeling inside. I watched you walk away from me and I could just feel the regret. My pride was to high I wouldn't let it go.

I chose this pain and all this hurt but if it was for the best then why does it feel the worst? Not having you here feels empty, wrong, and just plain poopy. Nothing feels right but everything now is just a memory I look around me and that's all I see, memories, good times, I was always happy.

Why did I give up why did I let go? You should have helped me hold on rather than watching me let go. I miss you so much I won't ever forget you. You are the one that has always ment the most to me.

Of all my friends,

Special friend

There is one special friend,
that has to be you.
someone who'll be there till the end,
and cheer me up when i'm feeling blue.

you make me smile,
you make me laugh,
and i am happy,
just being with you.

there are days when we are apart,
but everyday you are in my heart.
You are such a good friend,
and you always have a hand to lend.

I don't need to be afraid,
because I know you care,
a special friend I have made,
a friend that is always there.

someone who's heart is full of love,
such beauty and grace,
has been sent from above,
to this fantastic place.

A place we share together,
a friendship that will never end,
a friendship that is forever,

i know the age gap is long,

A friendship

A friendship is the hardest thing to write about
it can be described in so many different ways
your best friend, and yes there can be many
your soul shared by more than one body
or in my case one and a half bodies
for my friend is small
taller than a munchkin
but smaller than five foot one
we share one soul
for our one soul is labeled with multiple personality disorder
we are total opposites
we level each other out
and yes we do fight
but never for long
without her i would fall apart
so with me she shall stay
through thick and thin
together to the end

Friends Forever!
You are my friend,
Hopefully till the end,
You make me smile-
From ear to ear, a MILE!
You help me when I cry,
You hold me when I say I want to die.
You tell me "it'll be OK,
Tomorrow may be a better day,

So you help me, when times are tough,

Stand Tall

People try to bring me down with hatred and lies.
I'll try my best to hide my sorrows and sighs.
What's wrong with these people, It's like living hell.
I hate them all, i just about fell.
My friends will always be there, to catch me when I fall.
Knowing that, I'll always stand tall.
I can't ask for more, they are the best.
Knowing I'm loved, at night I can rest.
We all need at least one friend, It should be a law.
As long as i have mine, I'll always stand tall.

I'm sorry i never told you,
what i look for in a friend,
but then again i thought it was safe to assume,
that by now you would have guessed.

even tho its too late,
as you have betrayed my trust,
taken my kindness cruelly,
and shoved it up someone's ass,
even tho after all the things that i did for you these times,
the shoulder on which you cry on,
shall never again be mine,
even thou its too late,
as you have blown your chance,
i shall tell you one last time,
what a friendship entails.

a friendship is something one looks to,
when no other roads are their,
someone you can rely on,
to always be your staircase,
someone who'll lift you up above all the clouds,
and share joy in your glory,
someone who will never let you down,
one who saves your hurt your pride every single day,
someone who doesn't let jealousy get in the way,
and who never lets a boy ruin the any day.

what i want in a friendship is to get back what i give.
i always thought that within you i had found a true friend,
but you broke all the rules,
and have torn my heart apart,
you through all of my kindness straight at my face,
and laughed when i tried to explain that you have lost the race.

i looked to you for help that week,
someone to lean on,
but you where no longer there,
you had left my side.

so now i shall tell you,
for one time alone,
that you have lost a friendship,
you will have no more,
for you i did a lot,
a true friend i was,
but then again you will soon realize,
that me you have lost.

so next time you take one for granted,
take a second to think,
do they have to tell you what a friendship should be.

i am not sorry at all,
that to you i did not tell this,
what i am sorry for,
is that you never knew to begin with,
and now you have lost,
all the chances i gave,
i now have other found some truly great friends.

so good bye and next time you see me,
think of what you have lost,
and i will say one last time,

My Heart Falls
