    Secrets
    By: White Tiger
What if you had a secret
    That nobody knew
    What if that secret
    Lay deep inside you.

    It happened in the past
And it hurt you real bad
    Nobody knew not even you.

    Why did this happen,
    What could you do,
    How did you let him
    Do this to you.

    He came to you house
    And did it again
    Your hurting and crying
    Deep within.

    You go to church
    And pray all day
    Wishing this would
    Just all go away.

    A few years pass,
    Your just a little better,
    When yet again you fall,
And get a little bit wetter.

    You start having those dreams
    They haunt you at night,
    Taking and waking you,
    To weak to fight.

    Your tired of this
You don't want to give up,
    You pray to God
To help you win this stump.

    To go to one person
    Tears rolling down your face
Shes asking whats wrong with you,
Wanting nothing more than a warm embrace.

    Your asleep at night,
    Praying to God
    Hes protecting and telling
You that we have won the fight.

    All was OK,
    God stayed the night
    Telling that secret
    Made everything alright.

What if you had a secret,
    That nobody knew
    Who would you tell,
    Does it hurt you?

    Her smile was a rip
    in the fabric of herself
    and she, the needle
    who'd sew it shut

    etched into her mind
    and thusly, her face:
    the sadness of opinion
    she couldn't express

    pupils dilated,
    thawing the glacial blues
    within her eyes as
    the emptiness grew

    for once, her mind escaped
    through her lips;
    without guidance
    or the world's approval
    she curls in upon herself
    and, twitching,
    dies.

    An Angels touch
    by Randy East

I sense your presence near me
Yet I seem to be alone
    Running through the darkness
On a long and weathered road

    The obstacles prove ruthless
And the trees begin to thicken
An unseen rock impales my pace
    And downward I am stricken

    Eyes colliding toward the earth
I brace to take the blow
But the ground gave way before me
And I break into a hole

    Struggling for composure
    Not a second to react
    I fall through the abyss
    And await the harsh impact

    I woke a moment later
With a ringing in my head
    The darkness all about me
How could I not be dead?

I rolled up off my back
    And abruptly tried to stand
but my legs gave to the earth
I was sinking in the sand

    I yelled for you repeatedly
    And looked into the air
    Your essence all around me
Yet you didn't seem to care

How can you feel so close
And yet be so far away
I would think if you were near to me
    You wouldn't turn away

I know that you are out there
You can save me if you tried
Why when I need you most
Would you run away and hide

I watched in horror as my chest
Got sucked in by the land
But the sinking of my heart
Was now quicker than the sand

I knew that it was over
And that soon I would be dead
So in last attempt I made a wish
As the sand reached past my head

While the last bit of my body
Was being swallowed by the tangle
    I whispered, Heavenly Father
Please send to me an angel

    Hoping that the Lord
Would hear one of my pleas
    A warmness engulfed my hand
And I felt a sudden squeeze

In a blinding rush of speed
As my mind let out a scream
    I jerked upright in bed
    And awakened from my dream

I looked over to see you sleeping
In your cool and solemn grace
Unaware of me in the darkness
    sweat pouring down my face

I gazed downward at my side
    Still shaken by the sand
And realized that in this nightmare
    We were always holding hands

    It wasn't but a moment
When I saw you come awake
    Roll over toward my side
And give me a gentle shake

I looked into your soft blue eyes
As you neared my face with ease
You kissed me on the lips and said
The Lord told me to squeeze

If THE ANSWER was a man
    by Randy East

If the ANSWER was a man
and ONLY questions were his food
    Would a lack of sustenance
put a damper in his mood?

If the ANSWER was a man
of course he'd have to eat
So if you have some questions
then him you want to meet

For the ANSWER knows the answer
    to every single thing
But can he lend you wisdom
if food you do not bring?

This idea really got to me
So I decided I had to see
So off to his abode I went
toward a lock with out a key.

I showed up at his door step
with not a thing in hand
    Knowledge, wisdom and advice
    is what I would demand

I knocked three times and waited
to see if he would come
The turning of his door knob
made my weary heart go numb

    The door swung open loudly
    almost rattling his estate
He looked down at me curiously
    and waited for his plate

Empty handed, but assured, I said
do you even know a thing?
    Unless your given food
is there no wisdom you can bring?

    His eyes brightened with delight
as if risen from the dead
A lustrous smile consumed his face
and this is what he said:

    Everyone who comes to me
    and inquires where I live
    I ALWAYS have to answer
in accordance to what they give

    And now you come along
    and refresh my entire soul
For I can tell you what I wish
and for this I am grateful

There's only one thing I can tell you
    with out obtaining any grub
It's far more valuable than riches
    and second only to love

If you want to succeed in life
and surpass any kind of wealth
    Master all THE ANSWER Knows

    ....and strive to know thyself

Its rare in my experience showing friends and family this poem, that they catch the play on words the first tme through. My older sister did, and it made me very happy. let me know if you got it the first time through, being that we are all poets I think you may.

If you had any trouble following this poem
to help better understand what i was thinking read through it again, knowing that food means questions, and questions means food. As seen below.

If the ANSWER was a man
and *ONLY questions were his food* (vital line)
    Would a lack of sustenance(questions)
put a damper in his mood?

If the ANSWER was a man
of course he'd have to eat
So if you have some questions(food)
then him you want to meet

For the ANSWER knows the answer
    to every single thing
But can he lend you wisdom
if food(question) you do not bring?

This topic really got to me
and I decided I had to see
So off to his abode I went
    toward a lock(answer) with out a
    key(question)

I showed up at his door step
with not a thing(question) in hand
    Knowledge, wisdom and advice
    is what I would demand

I knocked three times and waited
to see if he would come
The turning of his door knob
made my weary heart go numb

    The door swung open loudly
    almost rattling his estate
He looked down at me curiously
    and waited for his plate(question)

Empty handed, but assured, I said

    Unless your given food(a question)
is there no knowledge you can bring?

    His eyes brightened with delight
as if risen from the dead
A lustrous smile consumed his face
and this is what he said:

    Everyone who comes to me
    and inquires where I live
    I ALWAYS have to answer
in accordance to what they give(or ask)

    And now you come along
    and refresh my entire soul
For I can tell you what I wish
and for this I am grateful

There's only one thing I can tell you
    with out obtaining any
    grub(questions)
It's far more valuable than riches
    and second only to love

If you want to succeed in life
and surpass any kind of wealth
    Master all THE ANSWER Knows

    ....and strive to know thyself

(crazy huh, the only personal information that the answer can give you, is the simple fact that it always knows itself)

    i seen you again today
    by: Tim Bradshaw

    I seen you again today,
    You're someone I don't want to know,
You disgrace the meaning of the human being,
Yet you still will not go.

I hate having to see your face,
Knowing the hatred you have brought.
    I can't stand knowing what you've done,
And the ignorance that you've taught.

I want you to leave me alone,
    You're every where I turn.
You need to go where you belong,
In hell to rot and burn.

Don't think that I can ever forgive,
The wrong that you have done.
Even though you say your sorry,
And that is was out of fun.

    I seen you again today,
    You are my biggest fear.
I'm taking this rock and ending your life,
You're dead! I broke the mirror.

    Crimson Storm
    By: Jenn

Blood drops like summer rain, her wounds cry pain
I'm sorry loses all meaning in her breath, she's dying
She can't smile like it's all right; you're not killing her

    Water ripples

Blood stained water surrounds her decaying soul
Her trusted blade is dripping with secrets, her lies
She can't be who you need, She can't love you

    Crickets cry

Blood soaked tears caress the floor in forgotten pools
Heart wrenching smiles no longer cross her features
Never found, never loved, never known, I'm forgotten

    Life stops

As the water runs through it...
There is no sorrow like existence*

*A saying I learned in religions class, it's a Hindu quote. [There is no fire like lust, no luck as bad as hate, no sorrows like existence, no bliss like nirvana]
I couldn't think of a title sorry everyone.. if it doesn't seem to fit

    History's Forgotten Past
    by HansRik

    History's Forgotten Past

The fragile existence sounds in the wind,
    As a shattered memory.

    Decaying history,
Overridden by the crows' prelude to Death
In an empty realm of dark, intangible instruments.

The storms whisper of a pitiable past,
An artificial present withering away into a
    Futile future.

The rainy rampage collapses into infinity-
    A mystery dissolving like ice:

    Life.

'Tis here, the old Story is told:
We are all made of stardust,

An accident in the history of the universe.
An explosion (a mistake) that formed the infinite possibilities of randomness.
But we are all One, we are Naught.

We are all made of stardust; we are all made of History.

These ethereal realities never cease to implode
    Within the vastness of emptiness.

Eternity exists in one second's thought; the Totality, in my palm.

    FALLING ANGEL
    **************
    TRUTH
    WHAT IS THE TRUTH?
    WHERE IS THE TRUTH?
WHAT IF THE TRUTH YOU KNEW WAS A LIE?
WHAT IF ALL THE PEOPLE YOU KNEW SAID GOODBYE?
DID YOU THINK THEY WERE GOING TO STAY?
DID YOU THINK THEY WERE GOING TO SAY I LOVE YOU SOMEDAY?
WELL THAT'S ALL NOW HAS GONE FAR AWAY
    *****************************************
NOW YOUR LIFE IS ALL THAT YOU GOT
WALKING ALONG THE STREET THINKING THAT YOU CAN HOLD YOUR HEAD UP HIGH BUT YOU CAN NOT
CAUSE YOU ARE WALKING DOWN WITH A WOUNDED HEART
YOUR SOUL CAN'T BEGIN THE JOURNEY FROM THE START
AND YOU AND YOURSELF ARE SEPARATED APART
    *************************************
YOU ARE AN ANGEL BUT NO ONE KNOWS
NO ONE BELIEVED YOU AND THE STORY GOES
YOU LOVED A WOMAN; DO YOU THINK THIS IS RIGHT?
YOU FELL TO EARTH BECAUSE IT WAS JUST TOO BRIGHT
BUT NOW YOU KNOW THAT YOU'VE BEEN FOOLED
BY THE WOMAN AND EARTH YOU WERE RULED
THE LIGHT AND BRIGHTNESS HAS FADED AWAY
LEAVING YOU SUFFERING ALONG THE WAY
    ****************************************
YOUR EYES NOW CAN CLEARLY SEE
WHAT WAS LYING INSIDE OF ME
AND WHAT IF THE TRUTH THAT I NEVER TELL
WAS NOTHING BUT LIES AS WELL
YOUR HEART BROKE UP IN TEARS
AS IT WAS HOLDING ON FOR SO MANY YEARS
BUT NOW THE RIGHT TIME HAS COME
AND I SHALL TAKE BACK MY FREEDOM
    ***********************************
I LIED, YES, BUT FOR YOUR SAKE
I LOVED YOU MY ANGEL BUT YOU DID MISTAKE
TO LEAVE HEAVEN AND COME DOWN FOR ME
ONLY IF I KNEW I WOULD DISAGREE
LOVE WAS ALWAYS IN MY HEART
BUT SACRIFICE WILL BREAK THAT APART
    ***********************************
I ALWAYS WANTED YOU BESIDE ME
I ALWAYS WANTED TO FEEL YOUR TENDER WORDS FOR ME
I ALWAYS WISHED THAT WE COULD ALWAYS BE TOGETHER
I WOULD WAIT FOR YOU FOR NOW AND EVER
BUT I GUESS YOU DIDN'T SEE ALL THAT CARE
IT SUDDENLY VANISHED IN THE AIR SOMEWHERE
MY VOICE WAS SO WEAK TO CALL YOUR NAME
AND YOU TURNED YOUR BACK LIKE YOU HAVE NEVER CAME.
    ***************************************

    Please Hold Me Tight.

    Please hold me tight,
    Don't ask questions,
    Just do what's right.

    Please hold me tight,
    I'm very scared inside,
    And, in depth of fright.

    Please hold me tight,
When I feel like hurting myself,
    And, cannot see the light.

    Please hold me tight,
    Tell me you love me,
And, tell me I'll be alright.

    UNREQUITED LOVE!!!

“But I love you,” he cried,
wallowing gin the pain of what she just told him.
“I LOVE YOU,” “I LOVE YOU,” “I LOVE YOU,” “DAMMIT,”
she not paying him any attention, not listening, at all.
“I LOVE YOU,” even louder he cries, hoping that the loudness and emotion of his voice might sway her, make her see.
She turns away, taping her foot, impatiently, as if to say,
    “GET AWAY!” “LEAVE ME ALONE!”
And with vigorous persistence, he echoes, “But I LOVE YOU!”
    She begins to walk away.
And in a furious rush of emotion, he screams, “LEAVE!” “OK THEN,” “LEAVE!” “JUST LEAVE,”
While in his heart, once again, still saying, “I love you,” (fading out) “I love you,” (fading out) “I love you,” (fading out)...
And with one last, loud cry, his heart screams, longingly, “COME BACK!!!”
But her interest is just not there and no longer, is she able to hear his cries.
She fades into the distance, and he closes his heart to the pain...

    Pain Within

I love you, but you won't take me back,
    I did something i shouldn't have,
I broke up with you because it was the best thing to do,
But now i can't stop thinking about you.

I think about the good times we had,
And now i feel very mad,
I should of told you this before,
And now i love you even more.

    I remember that day i said good-bye,
I remember how you made me cry,
You hate me, it ain't a sin,
And now all i can say is,
I have pain from deep within.

    "Appearances"

    Appearances change
    they twist and morph
    into something new
    into someone else

    People judge you
on what you wear, and how you stand
    what color you wear most
    the way you present yourself

    I use to believe
the way you dress is who you are
    but I was deceived
you can't judge someone by what they wear

    You could dress goth
    or dress like a model
You could dress like a tom-boy
    or even just normal

But no matter who you are
no matter how hard you try
    you can never fool yourself
    of who you are inside

You can try all you want
you can pray to the gods
    but you can never change
    the way you are

    Appearances can be deceiving
If you act the right way
    You can fool the world
    with your little display

    Don't hide who you are
    from the people around you
    let them whisper and stare
    you really shouldn't care

    Appearances change
    they twist and morph
    don't judge a person
until you've seen what lies in their heart

    thats not good!

    "the season's children"
Fickle and unpredictable is the child of Spring
Quick to cruelty, quick to kindness, she can both scream and sing
Yet as her flower-riddled golden hair sweeps over the earth
Flowers burst into life, animals give birth

Summer’s warm hearted maiden is gracious and kind
Yet the brightness of her form can leave humans blind
Her skin is nut brown, her tawny hair tied back by a ring
She brings happiness and heat, this balmy season’s offspring

The progeny of Autumn floats without care
Light and fair is her skin and rich auburn is her hair
She dons the bright gold and deep red of her falling leaves
Like them she drifts aimlessly, she's never happy, never grieves

Black haired and white skinned is Winter's child
She sweeps through dark tundra and pine forests wild
To travel through her domain requires wisdom and skill
For though she is beautiful, Winter's touch can kill.

    Picture Perfect.

Her glass filled eyes paint the sky,
    A deadly smiling face,
Dimples in her cheeks are carved,
    A Perfect girl replaced,

In her head are her thoughts,
    She's lying on her bed,
    Her wants and her desires,
    Her lonley rose now dead,

    Been stabbed with it's thorn,
Skin removed to let it bleed,
    Forgotten girl left to sleep,
    No-one listened when she'd plead,

    She shows no true emotion,
    Until she is alone,
    Cuts along her flesh,
    Her name.....now engraved on stone.

    HEY RUBY!!!
    OMG I LOVE YOUR POEM!
For though she is beautiful, Winter's touch can kill

    Awesome use of words
your poems are so perfect sometimes that i just have to read 'em again....and again.
