    A Season's Lifetime

    Spring:

    A naïve youth
    Her name is Ruth
    Her looks were often repute
This bordered on beautiful and cute.

Her skin tone is milky with a hint of chocolate
Her facial features are symmetrically accurate
Eyes are light blue mixed in with grass green
A look would suggest she was fifteen.

A single awed glance makes her blush
To a colour of rosy flush
    She is youth personified
    Inquisitively embodied.

    Summer:

    An independent woman
    Her name is Diane
Caring mostly her financial future and her work
    Haughtily bragging with a smirk

Her skin tone is coffee with cream
    Skin glowing with a gleam
Men flocking to her on bended knee
    Evaluating her to Aphrodite.

    A single woman is she
    Sleeping with men freely
A harlot is often what she is called
    Appalled,
She thought “Why do women get to be called that”
Sighing, “When men do it, they are applauded for that.”

    Autumn:

    Devoted mother
    Not like any other
    Protective of her kin
    Many call her Lynn.

Frumpy and bloated she hardly cares for her looks
Taking the money she earns to buy her kids expensive things and books
A person asked “Why not take care of your looks”
She said “I want my children successful, so to do that I have to buy them books.”

A great mother is her goal
    She is on a roll
Her first priority is her kids
Wishing to turn her seeds into orchids.

    Winter:

    A cantankerous crone
    Her name is Joan
Nagging and complaining about her long gone days
Wishing for the beauty that was always praised.

Her face is haggard, her skin tone banshee white
Once a face that inspired poets and musician’s bright
Liver spots engraved in her hands, to claim she is old
Her personality once sunny, became bitter and cold.

    A woman lost
    Now the bride of frost
The things that made her what she is
    Her best known assets perished
Like a cola that lost its fizz.

    "Take Me Away"

    Why do I cry?
    Night and day
    Won't you take my hand?
    Take me away....

    Unleash me from my pain
    Free me from my fears
    Grant me a life
    Where I shed no tears

Just take my hand, and hold on tight
For if you let go, I may never see the light
Darkness dwells in the depth of my heart
And bit by bit, tares it apart

The sounds of sorrow, the sounds of pain
    It's all to much, I can't handle life's touch
Why did it have to be this way?

I'm an empty shell, broken and torn
Covered by a mask, that covers my past
    Darkness chews, eating me inside
    Yet I tell no one
    I just run and hide

Tears flowing freely down my once cheerful face
My heart beating rapidly, quickening with each pace
Eyes darting from left to right
Searching for someone, to make things alright

And you wonder why I cry
And you wonder why I scream
When I whimper away in fear
Or try to run away from here

Don't tell me that you did not see
    The tears upon my face
Don't tell me that you did not care
of why my heart would race

    So why did you ask
    Even though you knew
    About my past
    Like you had no clue

    If its answers you want
    Then answers you shall receive
    But let me warn you
    Understanding is not easy

    This is how I am....

    A girl;
    That cries
    Night and day
Wishing for someone to take her away
    Take me away....

    Silent memories
    by Tabby

(to those memories people keep silent we all have them)

    Forgetting all those silent memories
That haunt the soul and mind
    That corrupt the happy thoughts
Which are usually so hard to find

    Trying to keep them silent
    Hoping they'll get lost
    But sometimes their stronger
And happiness is all it costs

    For memories you don't want
    Such sacrifice you pay
To not feel that painful memory
You just want to go away

It seeps into your life unannounced
    Like some kind of disease
As it eats away the happiness
    That once used to ease

all the pain you have suffered
And the darkness that you see
all the loss of your happiness
is all caused by those silent memories

that bird or this is not goodbye

    Movie Night Is High
    by Sukiyo

    Riding into the sunset
Where an escape rest in fleeing strands
Light clutches at the shadows that stretch for miles
Reaching for the outskirts of darkness
The sky scrapers tower over us and light up the sky
A bright explosion that dances in sparks
    So intricate...
So much... Like a hollywood horror film
    I'll play the dead extra
While they prance around in make up
    Screaming confusion
    The set is withering away
Like the ashes of my body
Scattered to every edge of the film
It'll make so much money across seas
    A series that'll capture a nation
Paying big dollars to watch an enemy fall to pieces
    Hurry up doll
Finish those last touches of concealer
It's time to make a massacre

Eh, this is a sucky one, but the one I wanted to put in is to long >_

    The things in my Dreams
    by Alyson

Horrid little monster under my bed
Teeth worn sharp and eyes glowing red
Awake at night in the shadows of my room
Filling my dreams with impending doom

Eight legged fiend upon my wall
    Building webs along the hall
Creeping around in the dead of night
Filling my dreams with unescapable fright

Blood sucking creature out side my door
Loves the way the red blood pours
Watches me as I sleep alone in the dark
Filling my dreams with a horrible mark

These are the things that haunt my dreams

    His warm embrace
    by Marjan

    Warm embrace
    Sweet face
    Shining so bright
    A beautiful sight
    He told me
    I had to go
    To somewhere else
    I didn't know
    I was in tears
    Couldn't think of
    Being away
    For many many years
    He cleaned my tears
    Put his hand
    On my heart
    And told me:
    I will always
    Be here
    So near.
    And smiled.
    A smile I'll
    Never forget.
    Then I came here
    Forgot his face
    Throughout the years
    But I know he's here
    With me
    Through thick & thin
    I have no fear.
    Trying to be my best
Knowing here I'm just a guest
    Missing his
    Warm embrace
    Sweet face
    Shining so bright
    A beautiful sight

    -My Dad

You were the strongest person I ever knew
Till this day I still miss you
I wish you never had to die
I wish that you could still be here
For me to run to and cry
About some dumb boy who called me names
Or even about getting a bad grade
But I will never again hear your voice
    Or run into your arms
Because you left me all alone in this world
I remember I sat and cried for hours on end
And wished and prayed that it wasn't true
And I asked God why so many times
Why you were the one he had to take
I remember we would sit and talk
And you'd always know how to cheer me up
I remember that last night that I had to say good-bye
I just stared into your eyes and cried
I couldn't let you go they pulled me until
I finally gave up and just let them take me
Away knowing that I'd never see you again
You cried too and I hope you didn't suffer
    Even though you couldn't talk
I knew what you were thinking
If it was up to me I never would've left your side
I remember the night you died
    The phone rand and
Before my mom even told me I knew
That you were gone and I'd never again hug you
There's not a day that goes by that I don't
Think about you or miss you
Years have passed by and still I wonder why
Why in the world the greatest man I have ever known
    Was taken away from me

    "Sympathy"

He waged a war with the world,
Somehow he really wants to change it.
Those things that left him feeling cold,
Tells him to be so cynical.
Can we blame him for the way that he feels?
Somehow we're very much like him.
Can you see him in you?
    Can you see him?

She said goodbye to the world,
She's a girl with a dumb blonde hair do,
Took a lot of pills, did the works,
So sick and tired of being lonely.
Can we blame her for the way that he feels?
Somehow we're very much like her,
    Have you seen her?

She never lived the life of a girl,
No school and a chance to be lovely.
Spend a lot of days in a hole,
Living with fear in a cold dark alley.
Can we blame her for the way that she feels?
Somehow we're very much like her,
    Have you seen her?

Walk with me between the worlds,
    And maybe then you'll see,
A thing called sympathy for you and me,
Then you'll see them in you.
    Can you see now?

    Disease
    by Dean Rands

It tears me apart to say the words
To think the truth for just a second
Because then it's real - not a lie
And I'll have no choice but to forever cry

But still it's something I must face
And I must fight - win or lose
Because it's there - inside of me
Hidden in my skin - hard to see

I'm truly scared of what could be
Of what lurks beneath my skin
It may be hard for you to know
Thats because I cover it with a show

No one knew of my horrid secret
    The thing I dreaded most
And then you appeared - came along
And spoke to me with hope's song

The lyrics came so loud and clear
Hold on, be strong, have hope
For that reason I trusted you
And that trust just grew and grew

I dont know where to next or if
    This battle I will win
But you're here to keep me strong
And forever remind me or hope's song

I've said before how scared I am
How hope is hard for me to keep
But this I'll face just for you
My friend, my hero - It's true

I hear the clock as it slowly ticks
Shows me how time goes by
So not a minute should we waste
Let's get this over with - post haste

And if the news is really bad
I won't cry or break down
I'll fight it all the way
So next time I can save YOUR day

    the Cave
    by ruby

There is a cave on a far off shore
Which gapes out across an unknown sea
    A great mouth eternally ravenous
The maw of a monster yearning to pull free

Mottled grey are the rocks of the cliff face
From which the cave's entrance yawns
    Inside, stalagmites and stalactites
    Grow in mysterious threatening forms

Inside the cave it is black as pitch
Except for an eerie phosphorescent glow
That illuminates a deep underground lake
How deep that water is nobody knows

At dusk a sea nymph rises from the water
Her perfect body as clear as glass
Her voice as she sings is heavenly sweet
No human who hears can get past

Bones lie at the bottom of the black pool
Of men she lured in with her song
who drowned as they tried to reach her
    the lust inside too strong

Beyond the nymph's glassy black lake
Beyond the cave floor, black and hard
at the back of this cave full of malice
Lies a host of wreaks, a ships grave yard

Such is the fate to all who wander
    Into this forgotten ocean grave
Whether by nymph or craggy rock
None will ever leave the cave.

    If Only...
    by J. Lau

    If only love is easy to find;
Then we will not long for it.

    If only love can be guaranteed;
Then we will not know how to treasure it.

    If only love requires no effort;
Then we will not realize it.

    If only love lasts for a few hours;
Then we will not commit to it.

    If only love comes without obstacles;
Then we will not appreciate it.

    If only love survives without arguments;
Then we will not learn from it.

    If only love fades with time;
Then we will not pursue it.

    If only love have no happy ending;
Then we will not have any reason to love.

If only... we can recognize love.

    you never cared

    By david marshall

    You make me cry,
yet you say you love me.
    Why did you lie,
    you faked it obviously.

    You never cared,
as my life was getting rougher.
    The love you never shared,
    leaving me to suffer.

    I'm sitting here alone,
    with my feelings I mask.
    When sorrow was shown,
    you never cared to ask.

So I wait for my fate,
    with my last breath.
    You were just bait,
    to wards my near death.

if i win my second poem would be ''Do you love me?''

    In My Dreams
    by Sarah Drew

    I fall asleep
    I start to dream
    My thoughts are deep

    I see him there
    He walks over to me
He runs his fingers through my hair

    He looks into my eyes
    I look back into his
    My heart flies

    He smiles at me
    And kisses my cheek
    I'm filled up with glee

    He takes my hand
    We begin to walk
We here music from a distant band

    It's beginning to become light
Our time together is almost over
    I'm filled with fright

    He smiles and says goodbye
    He walks away from me
    I begin to cry

    Our time is done
    It's all over for me
That's it for all the fun

    I'm now awake
Tears are rolling down my face
    I begin to shake

    It's over now
    I'll get over this dream
    I just don't know how

    When time touch it's destiny....
    By:yuniardi

Captivating the sight of your dream...
    fabrics of thought lies shattered
    treasures mountain, tranquil stream
    season of bless slowly weathered...

the glittering sunlight peeps from the sky....
    await for your solace touch
    cascading the green, green grass
shimmering splendid brought the sense of peace....

    trees bow in silence...
within your abundant charm of loveliness
break away the cold spell of winter
put us in a warm consolation...

the gushes of the stream, the gold arbion of water
splashing arround us as raindrops of love....
a simple life that i always fancy
which i hope comes to eternity

    but alas...
    what a woeful despair
i am simply lack of flair
when this heart strangled of hapinnes
    i just unfamiliar with words
althogh in fact, i love you more than world
the word of love seems hidden solemntly with the evening wind
the ordinary thing that i've never seen

stuck in a pile of sand
on just another way of saying goodnight.....
    although deep in my heart
just like heaven, i want to hold u tight..

sharing such unbridle life, apart from all turbulence..
such sentimental scenery and the wild night
girl thats all i've been longing
yet i left in silence without saying anything...

sometimes i feel like a silly star
    lamenting its ability to twinkle
listening to your wish , and dream, with your special style
but i just end up with smile.....

i just believe that one day
    when time touch it's destiny..
i could bring you inside my story
our fairy world, enchanted with affinity...

    Vapour Beneath The Clouds

We are but vapour beneath the clouds
    Translucent passion under the horizon
    Seduced by the simple things
    Our desire to be dreamers
Wakes us up to real life

    The world without people
To burden it with our petty worries
    Would be joyous and true
Yet it takes our weight with grace
    Knowing we'll soon leave
    Let nature rest in peace

When we stop colouring our world
    With crayons of the future
    We'll truly understand it
Let the old man teach the young
Let our earth teach us how to live

If I were to kill the demon would it not still be murder?
If I were to seduce the temptress, rape?

If I were the last puff of vapour beneath the clouds
Would the passion still be there?
Would my heart beat twice as fast in yearning?
Or would I lose the power in despair?

    Breaking Up
    by Tabitha

The night was weary, the rain came down,
lets go for a walk he said with a frown.
the whole night through, he had nothing to say, as if there were something to stand in the way.
suddenly he said it with a blur, my parents said break up with her.
I'm sorry he said, i cant pretend, my parents said our love must end.
the tears began to roll down his face and then he stopped and took her into his embrace.
she took his ring and wrote something down. thats when she noticed his face was a frown.
she opened her purse and dropped it inside, she said nothing else just sat there and cried.
all of a sudden the car wouldn't start
she looked at him saying you've broken my heart.
he opened the his window and looked passed the rain, thats when he noticed the light of the train.
he grabbed her hand and jumped outside, oh what a night to take a ride.
she let go his hand and ran in a fit, got back in the car then the train hit.
there was a scream, then a crash, but just one could hear, then he looked around there were people coming.
the ambulance sounded like the whimper of her cry, then they said sorry son, she died.
they opened her purse, brought it to him, the night was dark, the flash light so dim.
he heard someone say read it to the crowd, he opened it up and read it out loud.
    Heres what it said:
I'm sorry to here you don't love me no more, i know things can never be as before.
you know your parents aren't being fair, to break up to people who really care.
if i should die before you do just remember darling, i love you!
and if I'm in heaven, ill look down from the sky and tell everyone hey thats my guy.
and if i should die before you do no matter what ill always be true.
i guess theres nothing i can say or do but i still love, may god bless you.
as tears began to roll down his eyes, he said a prayer to the sky.
he blamed himself for what she had done, he remembered her saying you are the only one.
if he hadn't broke up, shed still be wearing his ring and wouldn't have went back for such a silly thing.
he sat there thinking how she put his ring in her purse, his dreamed switched from her to a big black nurse.
he raised his head high and said a prayer up above, take care of her lord.

    The Red Death

"The Red Death" stalks this land,
    Many know it, Many could,
Walk with your bible in hand,
Let God's word speak the way it should.

    Slowly overcoming the un-innocent,
Burning those who are not true,
The ones who refuse to repent,
Right for God is what they wont do.

If you find yourself with a loss of breath
With a loss of words for the lord,
Coming for you is "The Red Death",
    Closing off heavens door.

    "The Red Death" is hell,
    Running your life with sin,
And if innocence is what you sell,
Then it's eating you from within.

    isn't it wonderful..?

    Isn't it wonderful..?
    our last winter..
    when a story was written
    by the sky of heaven...

    the rythm of the wind..
    bring us to a dream
    where our soul and faith
    lies within the overflowing stream...

    the stars...
like the tears of thousands angels..
    flowing and swaying..
    unsteady but gentle..
    the moon..
like the melodies of our hearts..
    so sweet and tender..

    isn't it wonderful..?
to walk on each other hands..
    in the impeccable place.
where we found our wishing star

    isn't it wonderful..?
    to be always together..
    loving each other..
    wherever we are..

    Why?

You show me the persom behind the mask,
the person you won't show anyone else.
The question "Why?" runs through my mind,
and I think that's what you need to ask yourself.

Why show me the real you?
Why let me see your soul?
Are you looking for something, love maybe?
Am I to make you whole?

Why confees to me your secrets and dreams?
Why tell me your most haunting fears?
Am I to be the girl who wraps you in her arms?
Do I kiss away the almost inevitable tears?

I need to know what you want from me.
Why make me such a huge part of your life?
Do you want it that way for always?
Am I to someday be your wife?

I have just one favor to ask.
Will you quit playing games with my heart?
Don't say we're friends then do things to the contrary.
That hurts, and you're tearing me apart.
