Great initial overture Sunny, now, question is, can anyone match and/or surpass that? I know I’ll be trying; I have a few things on the burners waiting to be served. But, for now, I shall just compliment you or your superlative opening to this challenge. Now poets, lets show Sunny she's not the only one whose pen flows with poetic penchant. Lamentation (Acrostic)

Lo! The labyrinthine loneliness prevails
As an absurd allusion to discord.
Meandering senselessly in pain and what it entails,
Every syllable is lost, forever, and so is every word.
Not one shadow plays with fragile rhymes;
Trembling silence is thence, laughing.
And ah! The sweet fables are narrated by endless Time...
Time, the immortal enemy of Life's being.
Ineloquent notes are mourned by blurry silhouettes,
Originating from nothing, for nothing is visible yet.
Nay! The labyrinthine loneliness laments its true set.

Lament: a cry of sorrow and grief.

Acrostic: a poetic form in which the first letter of every line forms a word. Other types of acrostics include poems where special letters (such as the last one of each line, or one following certain punctuation marks) form phrases or words which reveal a poet's secrets.

Ode to Music (Ode)

in my endless veins
but i am still living
unlike a undead vampire
I do not fear the sun
nor the glowing glare of the moon
a melody swims throughout me
to my pumping heart, it is key
my feet tap to every beat
my hands clap to a silent tune

or songs that i always hear
there is music in my body
music in my heart and brain

can fix everything wrong with me
anger, anxiety, frustration, fear
all of this is gone
when the CD is on
my friends think I'm weird
when in sing without an ear

Challenge closed!!!

The judges shall be given till may 10th to make thier determinations as to which poems they like best and to post thier official decisions as to the best poems!!! Each judge will be chiefly responsible for judging one style/form (category) and would have to give, judge, their top 3 in each, every category. Being as there are seven forms, there are seven judges, one for each form, giving their picks for top poem in their assigned form and their second and third placers, as well. The judges in addition to judging their assign form, shall also judge their top three poems in each/every form. Our judges and their categories are as follows;
