It's Gonna Blow!!!

Well, I'm sure this post won't be about anything you were expecting...I just needed a place to complain and be a big huge baby about how much this hurts because I'm afraid everyone else is annoyed at me, and I don't blame them.... But..but..but.. OUCH!!!
I got my ears pierced so long ago, March I think it was. And neither of them are healed yet! I think this is because I'm allergic to a type of metal - when I was little I was anyway, I was just hoping to get away from that this time around. But seriously, my ear lobe is (literally, it's been compared and measured in the weirdest ways) more than twice the size it's suppose to be. My right side is sittin' there all happy lookin' and the left ear lobe is ALIVE! I swear it! lol ok, maybe that was an exageration...but does anyone know how to get the swelling down?

I clean it regularly! I've had ice on it for a bit, and it's not helping, it's just melting the ice because my ear is so friggin' hot! Tis on fire!

*sigh*...Ok, I think I'm done here...Sorry for rambling, but thanks for listening! And please, I will take any advice to make my ear better...However, keep in mind I won't cut it off unless it's still like this on Saturday- then maybe if I have the time....*gives ear threatening look*.... lol.

~ lol......go to the doctor and see if he can give you anything to make it better. Sorry thats all the advise I have.........oh the dreaded doctor...yuck... but hey..at least your ear doesn't have to deal with the DENTIST!!!!!!! ahhhh!!!!

This post is sooo for me! I got my second hole pierced Wednesday and its killing me..I can barely touch it without it hurting and I'm cleaning it regularly too! I amd a HUGEEEEEEEEE baby when it comes to pain so like you I am always scared of little things I think might hurt....

Its kinda normal though..I had an infection when I got my first hole pierced last year..you need to get the umm...nickel-free earrings....keep cleaning them and twirling them..and eventually itll go away...mine did!

Are you lyingon it when you go to bed?

Or salt water. My dad is diabetic and if he even gets a cut it goes all swollen and septic, he says the best thing is salt water.

It took my Industrial nearly 14 months to offically heal.

Sounds to me like you're right about the type of metal. Have you tried buying yourself a good pair of gold studs from the jewelers?

Or it might be an idea to go back to the place you got them pierced and see what they say about it.

But as long as you are cleaning it regularly, it should clear up at some point soon.

Well I got my belly botton pierced about a year and a half ago and its still not healed. BUt yeah sea salt is really good for it. Umm don't use peroxide becuase then you get this really ugly scar. And I know what your going through. I can put holes anywhere else except my ears. I guess your ears are more sensitive but they only got htis way when I was older. THank god I got my first hole when I was 5!! LOL just clean it and if it really bugs you just take it out its not worth it.

Wow, lol that was alot more help then I expected in such short time. Thanks lots. To clear things up, I did fall asleep on it, and I think that contributed to the pain but not the infection - as yes, it was an infection. Eww, I know, I'm sorry to have to bring you all down with me lol. But anyway, I've cleaned it out, used bio-septic, put some earings without the back in there so that my ears can breathe and Also put polysporen on it. I wasn't quite ready to try the salt water, but it doesn't look like I will have to. Although it's not quite healed, it still hurts and it's still big (only relatively discoloured lol) it is getting better. So hopefully if I just keep wearing these earings, and cleaning them everytime I turn around... I shall atlast be better.
