So...I'll be a freshman next year and I'm really worried. Yeah, I probably sound stupid. But....
Is the work harder? Do you usually make more friends? Do you have time to just chill after school, or is it hours of HW and studying? Is it awesome, or suckish?

I personally found it better. You eventually drift from your original friends, and find ones who you more click with. The work is not harder. In elementary school I would struggle for 70%, and then in high school I went up to high 80% and low 90%. Just keep originized, neat, dates, underline, DO HOMEWORK. Study for tests. Don't be late for class. And it is easier, because you don't have to know everyone. You will find the right group of ppl for you. I promise you it is much easier then elementary school.

Let me tell you, I was a freshman last year and I was sooooo nervous..don't be! LIke seriously....you'll find it stupid to be nervous..its just like grade school and Jr High..classes are the same and everything theres just more people thats it....homework...yeah you have it, and it depends on how much time you want to put into it to tell whether or not you have time to hang with friends still.. i did and I know you will! High school is like the best years of your life...its a blast..get in trouble :-P bad advice..but its fun when you break the rules a lil!

Don't Worry Hun...Highschool Is Actually The Same As Middleschool Work Wize, You Don't Have Tons And Tons Of More Homework Like I'm Sure Some People May Tell You, You'll Have Plenty Of Time After School To Hang With Your Friends Or Rest...I Spent Only 30mins To An Hour Doing Homework When I Was In School...Like Previously Stated You May Find Yourself Distant From Old Friends And Finding Lots Of New Ones You Have More In Common With Because In Highschool As You Grow Older You'll Find Out More Of Who You Are And What You Like....Highschools Fun So Rest And Anticipate a New Beggining xoox-Nikki-xoxo

Me to,I'm going to me Freshmeat! and I'm scared because people have told me that seniors and sofmores(sp?) are going to be mean..I have friends all arouind though..I heard its like a gazillion times better then middle school though :)

i'm scared lol too about not this next school year but the next cause my school's go: elementary k-4, middle 5-8 (i'm going into 8), and high school 9-12. and what is really going to make everyhting worse is that they are building a new high school and i won't know where anything is and stuff lol so i'll be lost freshmeat!!! lol, hopefull me being in band will help cause we will have to go to the new high school everyday for band and stuff sooooooo lol hopefully it won't be that bad

aww i just graduated last night from grade 8. it was really sad. I'm worried too but it'll be okay. hopefully the school you're going won't have like "iniations"

I was so worried about initiations when I first went to grade 9. It was so stupid, because barely anyone got initiated, except the ones who asked to be.

Personally, I thought middle school sucked. High school is so much better, don't even worry about it. A few days into the year and you'll be laughing at yourself for being nervous. It's all fun :)

I was uber worried about hIgh school, and next year I'll be a sophmore. It was a lot easier than I expected it to be. My grades slipped a little during the year, but soe of the teachers at my school were really willing to help and they didn't want to see me fail. I also was scared I was going to make no new friends. In my school district there's 2 high schools, and the majority of my friends (meaning all but 2) went to the other school, but I had to go to the one that they didn't. I was sooo scared, but i've made some of the best friends I've ever had this year. So don't be too cautious and give it a chance. I'll bet that you'll like it.

Oh, and at my school at least, there wasn't a real definition between classes, so you don't have to worry about that. I had more senior friends than anything, and many of non-senior friends weren't freshman, though I had freshman friends too. lol. So i hope I've helped a little at least, and if not I've just ranted on about nothing...

I can tell you that the 8th grade work is no biggi. I barley got any HW and I think we'll do fine in Highschool! Now that some ppl have told us the truth, I think we just have to keep our minds open! But don't worry, I'm right here with you.

Highschool is pretty scary. Well for a freshmen anyway. I know i Was nervous and now i'm going to be a junior and it's no big thing. In some classes you get homework everynight but most of my classes dont even give homework. LOL umm don't worry you'll be fine.

The more you worry and try to impress the harder it will be ... get your priorities straight...school work first and socialising second...Then just be yourself and everything will fall into place. I know its daunting but you'll be fine ;o)
