Go Ask Alice

Has anyone else read this book and what do you think of it? I personally thought it was pretty good. Oh yeah do you know any good books I can read and not ones that are really bad kept it pg 13 or under young adult stuff okay thanks!

I've seen that book plenty of times in the store, and I want to read it, but I've never bothered to buy it. I probubly will soon =)

You should definatey read "A Great and Terrible Beauty" by Libba Bray. To me it kind of started off slow, but keep with it and you will be AMAZED..

It's honestly my favorite book of all time now

~ I have read that book and I loved it. It really keeps me interested knowing that all of it is true since it is someones diary. It kinda makes me feel sneaky!! lol...

But, it's really sad to know that so many people get addicted to drugs and go through the same things that she did in the book. I participate in a lot of drug awareness programs through my school, and I want to make sure that kids don't make stupid mistakes and end up totally screwing their lives up. I honestly don't think that it would be worth getting the high off drugs, because it just makes your life more complicated.
I don't understand how people can say that drugs are their escape, because though I myself have never experienced anything drug related, I HAVE witnessed how it can effect lives through some people at my school.

uggh...sorry I started ranting..lol I just got kinda carried away. But yeah, its a pretty good book...lol

Definitely one of the most interesting books I've ever read. I highly recommend it.

It's a great book with so much horrible truth in it. I recommend it to every teen today. It's really the best eye opener out there, and it's pretty entertaining.

i havent read that yet... but have you read any of Lois Lowry's books? she is an INCREDIBLE author!!!! some of her books include: the giver, number the stars, anything anastasia krupnik, and, my favorite, gathering blue.

Oh yeah, she is. 'Gathering Blue' and 'The Giver' were great books.

~ oh yeah....I read Number The Stars back in like...6th grade. From what I can remember it's really good... All that I can really remember about it is its about a Jewish girl moving in with her best friends family to try to avoid capture by the Nazi soldiers.. but yeah...its really good although its kind of tame. Somewhat thrilling, but theres nothing graphic or anything....

I loved this book I read it all in less than an hour.. the message of the story was so interesting.. although its fictional I still loved it..

omg, if you liked Go Ask Alice, which totally rocked, and if you like poetry, then read my all-time fave book "Crank" by Hopkins. it is about drugs, and is like Go Ask Alice, but a tad darker, entierly written in poetry!

and has a happy ending.

i love this book, and have read it like 6 or 7 times!
