My mum hit me...is that abuse?

I was at home doing something then my mum just started slapping me across the face and head.
I was so afraid.
I'm not sure if its abuse or what.

She did it because I forgot to put her conditioner away.

She said she was sorry.
im not sure if i want to forgive her though.

please help.

I'm sorry about that. My mother used to do that type of thing to me. Now, as to answer your question, it IS abuse.

Granted, it may not be as severe as other types, but it is abuse nonetheless. It can be reported... It what I did...

i remember some childhood stuff where she'd hit me or yell at me.
she always yells at me for nothing.
but thats the first time shes hit me that violently.

If it's her first time...than I don't know. My dad use to hit my "bum" when I was small. But that was cause he didn't know how to be a father (I'm his first child). He stopped after Grandpa scolded him^-^. Now I'm closest to my dad.

yes, it is, and there is something very wrong with that. My thing with abuse is "why hurt what you have created?"
I just hate it when anyone is treated like that, for any reason. And I can say that the reason you were hit was very pathetic and unnessary. So what if she said sorry? It doesn't change that it happened.

lmao... compared to what i've been through that's not abuse... just slaps... that's nothing.. if it's about the conditioner.. put it away next time... live in fear. but for me.. it's not abuse. hammers, knives, rice cooker plugs, steel end of the belt, fist... THAT'S abuse.

My mother once kicked me in the ass, literally, because I would not help her clean the fish tank. I then replied, "you might have kicked me in the ass, but you're still cleaning the tank," which led to a second, more abrupt, swift kick to the butt.

Oh, by the way, DarknessDefinesMyHeart, at least you have never been sporked... Yeah, try talkin' about abuse after hearing that...

Mmm..My Mum hit me once. And I hit her back and told her if she did it again the next hit would hurt more..she never hit me again..

But that's sweful, getting slapped cause of conditoner? I would not have taken it.. Cause that's just me..I was taught to fight back when I was little..I don't know if thats a good thing..

Yes, it's abuse. Definately not severe, but still abuse-
