Little home made bits and pieces, they're always the best.
    Make a card.
You could get like a scrapbook and oput things in it, photos, poems, jokes, cards, her favourite things, dried flowers etc.

    how old is the sister?
a personal poem from you to here would be very special....
there are also all kinds of jokes you can get off the internet to send as well...
any replica items that you can come up with that would remind her of things that happen when she was home would bring back great memories as well...

get some magazines that you could get from where you live, like if she lives in a different country this would really only work.

Oh I got an idea...make a shirt...you could go to a certain place..I dont know where it is or what its called where you live..and you could post your picture on there and put a cute little saying or say "Big sister to this beautiful girl" and have your picture be on it!

You could get a notebook and have all of the people your sister is close to write something in it for her. And like paste pictures on it, draw pictures, a poem or two maybe. You could also send her a post card from near where you live, or make a pillow out of an old shirt, or send her cookie mix or something that's her favorite thing.

If you're going to make her a poetry book full of sentimental things, it'd be nice if you soaked it in tea, dried it, and burned the edges of the paper to make it look pretty. :D

You know, although i have given you ideas, I think it would mean more if you thought of the ideas yourself. It's much more personal.

In my opinion she'd love anything. It's the thought that counts--- I love the scrapbook idea! If you're not planning on doing that I would still send pictures and poems--

i dont know I think I really like what my grandma did for me and my brothers when we were little she sent us a care package that was huge and put one item or lots of little ones in a box filled with candy and sent us each a word of advice or something personal about every item that was in there she sent me a bead neclace that my great great ect. grandma that was handed down through the generations with it was a note that said pride be held. inside it told the storie of why it was so important and what it ment to our family and to her. Maybe you could do something like that with a memorie that you have with her or your family or something.
