aha. psychic***. why, yes indeed i AM sort of... comes from my mom's side, but i can't control it.. sorry, only works when an emergency is about to happen. bad or good. anyways, what i think of those store psychics... fake... frikken con artists.. ^_^

I do not believe in the common understanding of this term, as I feel people do not comprehend enough of the alternate ways in which we can come by information using our amazing brains.

For example. You meet someone and get a funny "feeling" about them, which being the spiritual sort, you attribute to your untrained latent psychic powers. However, there are many reason, psychological, biological and social that may be for your reaction, yet you don't consider them. The same can be said for psychic dreams, which none of you know enough about to speak with any certainty, myself included.

So please, lets not all jump on the psychic boat, even if you granny kept a couple of black cats and smelled funny, and you once saw a dark shape in the corner of your room.

You wouldn't last 5 minutes with a parapsychologist, so have a good rational think about your Psychic'ness before posting.

I don't see how it;s physically possible to tell your future - people change teir future everytime they do something.
And besides, even if it was possible, how could anybody do it just using a name on a computer screen?

I have a link with my older sister, but none of my other brothers or sisters.

examples:

I knew when she went into labour (both times), how long it lasted and when it was a good time to call.

She knew when I had a car crash recently (I'm in the USA, she's in the UK) and that I was ok.

We can do the blind card reading thing.

As for broadband esp, it must be possible, just extremely rare.

I don't think any one holds the future.. but I think we all possess some kind of psychic ability... only because of deja vu.. and the initial "that person doesn't rub me the right way" after meeting a slimeball.. i don't think any one can tell you when where and how you are going to die.. but i think some people are connected spiritually... and can feel somethings if you understand where i'm coming from...

I think that tv psychics are a bunch of bull, but that psychics isn't totally impossible. I experience Deja Vu very often, but that doesn't make me a psychic, but people always have these wierd feelings and instincts that are proved true. Maybe those are signs =/

lmao...Psychics as in the one who do palm and tarot card reading? Pfftt...What would such people be doing in their little shabby stores reading palms if they were psychics? Every day they would be hitting the jackpot if they could guess the lottery numbers. It's hilarious in an ironic way. I believe such people with magical and abnormally talented abilities exist, but those people are such that associate magic with the devil. You need nothing to sit down with a person, look at their hand, and make up a happy ending to their life.

I always know when my sister is pregnant before she does, or says anything to anyone.. other than that I'm not and don't really believe in it either.. by the way my sister has 10 kids and has spent 1/2 of the last 17 years pregnant, so it could just be coincidence rather than psychic ;)

personally I don't believe in phsychics...I've watched a couple on TV and heard some on the radio...I think phsychics tell you one thing and it gets your brain to thinking whatever it is your phsychic told you ...and then people say omg she/he was right! I don't understand how a person can use "Cards" to help you or tell you what will happen...Perhaps someone can explain it or something it just doesn't make sense..and to the original poster...I really don't see either how someone can tell you your future through your name?...it always leaved me confused..but for those who do believe..more power to ya!

There are such things as witches, psychics, etc. I wouldn't go anywhere near them.
A creepy experience... my mum said that once she asked a tarot card reader to tell her fortune, and was told her father was going to die. Soon after, he died.
There is something sinister about that.

Jaxleme, because I haven't seen your name before, I'll give you one warning, as a mod, not to swear directly at people. You insult yourself ranting on about Christians being unchristian, and then lowering yourself to violent name calling. Not very loving is it? As for the topic. De'ja'va is quite possibly in my opinion, the most idiotic of the supposed Psychic experiences. If you are an adult walking down a street, and you suddenly walk past a person and get a very strong sense of having walked down a street like the one you are in and past a person like the one you just past, it is almost certainly because you have done, like maybe a year ago in some other place. AND NOT BECAUSE YOU ARE PHYCHIC! That we a as human beings are connected in ways we do not understand is possible, I'm not arrogant, and this would most likely be stronger in family members. But please, can you at least consider other options before you stamp yourselves with the Kudos Ultra X-men Psychic card...it's old.

I worry for most of you I really do. The amount of false ideas you must all harbour because you don't really think about the things you believe in. Scary.

On deja'vu, I had M.E for seven years and would experience deja'vu at least four times a day.

It's not psychic it's an imbalance in the brain where one lobe works faster than the other. As the other catches up (a matter of a few hundreths of a second) you experience it twice and get that curious feeling.

A point to note: if you are not worshipping Satan you are not satanic. You could argue for the anything not Christian is satanic, but that's about the weakest thing I've heard... unless Buddhists are planning on taking over the world.

Jaxleme.....hahahaha that was kind of amusing!...I'm Christian too and honestly dear, that seemed vrey unChristian like speaking that way...if you Christian and claim Jesus as your Lord and Savior I'm guessing you believe we are the bodies of Christ as it says in the bible?....I don't think Jesus would speak like that...kinda makes me sad...that is why Christians are most talked about and most bashed on..that is why Christians get a bad name because people have the worst mouths and Not very Christian like actions

Chelsey, I think the main reasons Christians get bashed on, as you so tactly put it, is because from my point of view, and the point of view of many other people, they are arguing from a losing perspective which makes it easy, and very tempting amid the passions of debate, to have a little dig.

That is why, in EVERY SINGLE ONE of the religion debates in here, and there are many, it always ends up with the non christians asking for logical or well thought out, or even just acceptable reasoning for belief in such a religion, and the christians responding with the classic "mystery of faith" line.

And who can blame them? If my faith was as inherantly warped [in my opinion] and illogical, I'd put belief in it down to some nebulous unknowable, invisible factor.

But back to topic. Go google, Derren Brown, and learn a thing or two about how the techniques many "Psychics" use to convince people of their power.

Oh, right, well, if you're asking for my forgiveness for swearing at me/anyone else, then granted, immediately.
Sorry if I myself was offensive, as perhaps I employed the wrong words... my point is that "reading the future" doesn't sound Christian to me. On a brighter note, I do believe that our dreams are trying to tell us something, that God sometimes sends us messages in our sleep.

This is only my opinion.
You can contradict it as much as you like, I am only stating my beliefs.

As for the topic becoming religious. Have any of you heard of the Christian Saint, Padre pio? If you haven't I suggest you google him, quite an interesting chap. It seems he was Psychic, was able to Bi-locate, heal people...all kinds of weird things, and he is a christian Saint, who how can that be if most christians think such things are satanic in origin?

What was the vision. Srry i am a phsychic. I can tell what people are doing at that time and place were they are, I can see the future like when my mom-mom died i knew it was coming because i say it in a dream. I have seen alot of stuff. I got daysapue,spelled wrong, alot I get alot of that stuff and i also can read toart cards. My friend say i have a nack for it. If you need me send me a message.

well i wouldn't really consider myself a psychic, but i do have some moments.....
i do this a lot....example..i'll be talking to someone and we'll be deciding where to go eat and i'll ask them and they'll say oh well Long John's, but i was thinking in my head long johns before they said it and i had no idea why
so i dont know, it happens all the time , but i dont know im doing it until the person says what im thinking

I definately believe in psychic ability. It has been running strong in my family since any of us can remember, but luckly I didn't recieve the gift. My sister did and, along with the good, horrible things come with it. Psychics, at least my sister and a few other relatives, are prone to appartions and haunting visions. I personally believe that the gift should be used for good not to make money, so as far as these "99-cents-a-minute" people go, I think most of them are fake. I believe in an abilty to predict the future but only to a certain extent because we can change our future, and some things God doesn't want us to know. Like other people have said on this topic, there is a difference between having a gut feeling, de javu, or witnessing a sign and being psychic. But back to the point. Do I believe in psychics? Yes! Am I one? No.

i do my oracle card readings... theyre surprisingly accurate!!! i even do them for people i dont know. and sometimes i see or feel things that are going to be bad. if im half asleep, i "dream", but the dreams arent really dreams, theyre more like visions. i can see a persons career of the "future" if you will... and i can tell if something bad has happened to my best friend. we believe in past lives, and we both had dreams where we were twins who were killed at 9 years old. with that, we believe we were separated and born unto different parents, and we have a VERY strong connection to each other.

i personally do not care what other people think about me, psychics, card readings, or anything else having to do with the matter because i know what i believe is true and thats enough for me.
