Ok..I just started a fire in the microwave today! Do you believe that!! I mean...I just suck at cooking! and the thing is..I wasnt really cooking anything...I took out a loaf of bread from the freezer and was trying to defrost it...well you know those stupid little twistie things they have on it to keep the bag closed? Well I didn't realize that was metal and all of a sudden I saw this huge flash of light and I go "OH MY GOD!" and the bag is on fire..I was screaming to myself like "what do I do what do I do..the finally grabbed water and poored it on there...I've also burnt mac and cheese..I thught it said 10 minutes instead of 1 and fried the noodles and dropped the bowl becuase it was so hot

SOooo...for those of you who can't even use kitchen appliances...whats your story?

Well, I do the little things.

I was making French Toast, and it was all done(a tad soggy though)

And I set the hot pan on the plastic dish strainer.

    And it melted.

Then once, I was making Rice-a-roni, because I'm adventerous, and my brother through a dime in it, and I couldn't find it until it was in my mouth.

I blew up a glass dish. Enough said. Strange I wasn't even using the dish to cook. Oh well.

We don't have a microwave, so when we want milk coffee someone has to heat the milk on the stove. Anyway, I'm very good at letting it boil over.
I can fry eggs, and boil noodles... I'm a vegetarian, so I don't have to bother with meat, which is probably very hard to cook. Apart from that, I make toast passably well, and can fry vegetables...

I think the worst thing I ever did was burn a cake :-S
I very nice cake, too, but I didn't watch it enough.
When I put my back into it, I can actually make quite nice food, like "fried" toast slices in butter with fried egg on top of them... and once I made a tuna mush with brocolli seeds that everyone said was real nice. But seeing as I don't eat fish I don't have to bother with complex dishes.

I think I forgot to put baking powder in a cake... so, yes, it was a flat cake..

i can cook..i just don't like to cook.. i think all i've ever burnt has been toast, although i did set a chip pan on fire a long time ago.. guess that made me really safety conscious in the kitchen ;) it's amazing just how many people do use a knife to get toast out of the toaster!

hahaa...everyone makes mistakes when they cook. So don't put yourself down too much. Some can cook and some can't. Whenver you cook just remember the last time what happened and don't make the same mistake again. Thats how you will learn how to cook well and at least try not to burn the food or it could get worse..the kitchen on FIRE!! =D LOLS...=D

I can cook but I'm just really messy in the process, and slow with cutting or cleaning up. One thing that is funny that I remember is that my father drinks mint in his tea, so I wanted to make tea for him one night, and I apparently put parsley in it...thinking it was mint. He nearly choked to death, but thank God that was from laughter.

i LOVE cooking... but one time before i learned how to cook i was trying to make ramen noodles and i forgot the water. yeah. the water. and the noodles burned and the plastic container burned.

then another time i was making rice in the microwave and i set the time too high. i burned a hole in the container that i was using.

and i microwaved a fork once... by accident.

I don’t think they let me cook. I haven’t done anything bad at home (although I made/eat some burnt toast at camp), so there really isn’t a reason for me not being able to cook, and I do good in cooking class but… I’m not a confident cooker, I have my brother constantly check if my Ramón Noodles are done for me, and I prefer the microwave to the oven.

I’m great at using the microwave and toaster, I love toast… Toast is good. :D

I “cook” frozen pizzas with my brother… Yes in my household it takes 2 people to cook a frozen pizza, but only one to make a bunch of pizza roles.

I think I'm fairly good at cooking even though I don't do it a lot. I've had my dumb moments though, such as putting a cheese stick in the microwave for 3 minutes and stinking up the house with smoke haha

Oh and, lol, I have to tell you this story.

I found a very good recipie for a chocolate cake and pumpkin pie. I made them the day before Thanksgiving about 2 years ago for dinner the next day. Well the pumpkin pie turned out PERFECTLY and I was pretty sure that the cake would too, since I made it before and I lvoed it. So when we sat down for our Thanksgiving dinner the next day, just before the dessert was put out my nan was gettign pretty excited because she doesn't like pumpkin pie and didn't have chocolate cake for a while. SO when she got the first piece she took a BIG bite of it - and almost threw up the second it touched her tongue. The recipie called for a 1/8 tspn of salt, but I never saw the 8 (it was handwritten) and I put in a full teaspoon, which, apparently, makes a big difference. I was speechless at first but needless to say we still laugh about it to this day. haha

Yeah that was kinda long but.. oh well :D
