favorites

does anyone think that we should have more then 20 favorites in our favorites link? there are a lot of good writers here and i just can't decide who to put in my favorites. please tell me if this is a good idea, and i will mention it to janis.

this is the place to do just that...swamping him with emails doesn't help... make a suggestion here...Janis will read it sooner or later....

additional favorites has been a topic of discussion before.... the general consenus was that no mater how many we are allowed we will eventually want more... I probably wouldn't go any higher than 25

I tend to rotate who's in my favorites list...that way I can keep reading new poets and still hang on to the ones I like...also, once you get familiar w/ the ones you like, you can just look them up by name...that's what I do anyway.

I like Sarah`s answer, Ialso usually change about 3 names a week, so i can check out new ppl on here.

Well, in Australia it's spelt 'favourites' and I think in America it's 'favorites'. Depends where you live I think

To Friends.. Indians follow British spellings.
Like Luccem said, Americans tend to swallow "u" most of the time.

Words like color-colour, honor-honour ....etc

Also center-centre ...(there are a few words with this kind of spelling difference.. i don't remember more of it...)

About adding favorites.. Its been discussed many a times. Before it was only 10. Hardly 3-4 months ago Janis made it 20. If he makes it 25, people will ask for 30..or 50.... IT will go on...

Even i find difficulty with the limited number. I try to rotate my favorite's list And i have a folder in my internet explorer's favorites for the extra great poets. That helps!

my list is full too...so today I got this great idea to fix this!! I put a folder in my favorites browser called "Favorite Poems or Poets" Here I put the link to all my favorite authors profiles and then some of my favorite poems that I read often just so I could have them easily. I still have my site favorite list full...because that shows rating/votes/new poems...ya that stuff. But it's good for those of us having a problem with just liking too many poets!!!

p.s.-I discovered a new favorite poet on this site...You have seen him around the forums and he is SUCH a good writer...name is Lipton, check him out sometime...I escpecially like Sands of Time...lol...but they're all good!!! Thnx again!

yea, i think that idea is good, instead of expanding the amount though expanding the amount would also make it easier to be on more favorites lists so you would get like a favorites award more easily

i think sierra's idea is best, I mean there's thousends of people on this site so it's already got to be very difficult for Janis to keep on top of stuff so I thinnk we should all do our bit by having our favourites in a folder of our own computers!

i think 30 would be nice. the site just keeps growing... so i think other things should grow as well

Ahh-I don't wanna take full credit for the browser's favorite thing...lol. If you read up Trincy said she had done the same thing...I didn't notice this before I wrote that since it was from a while back but it appears she technically came up with it first just no one noticed it!!!
