Do you guys listen to Music while writing pomes???

Hi All,
I hear a lot of slow moving songs while i write my poems.Do u also listen to music while writing ur poems?If Yes,tell us what sought of music and Why???

Yes, I listen to slow R&B music, It helps me a lot.

yeah listening to music gets my blood flowing in the right direction and helps me find my sensitive spots!

Oh of course, I especially love listening to music without any lyrics. Its kind of like listening to background music during a movie intro.

sometimes, i do. i listen to slow songs...really sad ones. but usually i just write what i feel so i dont pay attention to the music that much, but the background of the slow beats help calm me down.

Sometimes a poem is just sparked and I just grab something and start writing. But when I've been considering something, tossing it over, but it just hasn't emerged yet, I'll help it along with some music in the right tone (or expected tone) of the poem.

The only problem with this is that I've very occasionally had some poems start out one way in my head and be finished in completely different directions because I started playing some music that led me elsewhere. My poem "Touch Me" is one like that... just wandered into radically other climes from what I had intended.

I don't listen to music...I find it distracts me.

I listen to anime music when i'm writing, depending on what song it is, it helps me visualize the poem happening in my head as i write it, giving it a deeper more meaningful, and sentimental purpose to me. i tek my writing VERY seriously.

I usually listen to music for it's my inspiration, but on occasion, I need silence to focus.

Good question. I listen to music while writing when i feel like the emotions inside need a little help to become strong enough to make it into paper. Other times I just want to rock-out to some solid tunes and the music and vibes I feel will inspire me to write something down. Then again there are time when music would ruin my writing mood. I guess it all depends on how I am feeling at the moment.

I do sometimes if i do it depends on my mood. i like writing to something like evanescence coz its more inspirational i gess. stuff like korn i listen to wen im angry etc. but never like rnb or summat coz i hate sht like dat. gotta b rock
