"A Women of Substance" by Barbara Taylor Thomas is really good. There is a lot of description, but it is really good.

Also All of Billy Hopkins books are good. He has four out, and it is a story line, better start from the begininng.
    -Kate's Story
    -Our Kid
    -High Hopes
    -Going Places

Those are my favorite books. Hope you'll enjoy them as much as I did.

well, i just finished reading this book in english called 'and then there were none' by agatha christie... i know it sounds lame, you know, an english class novel study, but it was REALLY good! it was really suspenseful. other books i like are anything from lurlene mcdaniel (they are all kind of sad, but very well written)..hope this helps!

Hmmmm well Dean Koontz is by far the best author EVER!!!! I recommend Watchers. That book will keep you on the edge of your seat!!!!!!! If you dont like that book Ummmm Hideaway is a good one from the same author. Or if you dont like the author just read a Harry Potter book, that always works ;0

The thing about The Da Vince Code, is to just look at it as a BOOK, because that's what it is.
If it is true or not, I mean, duh, who cares

^I'd have to disagree. if you look at it as ideas, it's pretty interesting. if you look at it as a BOOK.... it's not very excellent.

    some faves:
    His Dark Meterials (Trilogy)
    The Giver
    The Life of Pi
    Pride and Prejudice
    Bless Me, Ultima
    The Hero and the Crown
    The Grapes of Wrath
    The Awakening
    Good Omens

    "Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold,
"The vampire series" by P.N. Elrod
"The Five Peole you meet in Heaven" by Mitch Albom (my second favorite book ever!)
"The Catcher In The Rye" by ____ (I forget who wrote it, I had to read it for a school assigment but it was an amazing book.. one of my all time favorites.. for the record there is a bunch of swearing in this so if it offends you then dont bother picking it up)

ANYTHING by Scott Westerfeld...his books are:
    Peeps
The Last Days (sequel to Peeps)
    Uglies
    Pretties
    Specials
    Midnighters 1: The Secret Hour
    Midnighters 2: Touching Darkness
    Midnighters 3: Blue Noon
    So Yesterday

Also, my friend has recommended Maximum Ride by James Patterson to me, I havent started reading it, but it looks great, also Lisa, Bright and Dark by John Neufeld, which I am reading right now, is really good, and I have just bought 2 others: The Rules of Survival by Nancy Werlin and Define "Normal" by Julie Anne Peters. Joan Lowery Nixon is also great for shorter, more fast paced reads, and the all-too famous Margaret Petterson Haddix. Chris Crutcher as mentioned above is phenomenal and very controversial (^_^) and The Ranger's Apprentice by John Flanagan. This list is getting long, so I'll end this by saying that someone in my Spanish class is reading This Lullaby and is enjoying it, and my friend who suggested Maximum Ride has also read it and thinks it's fantastic.

    Happy reading :)
