hehe I hate christmas.. As a parent of three it is expensive for starters.. then spend all morning cooking and all afternoon washing pots and clearing up.. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr can't wait 'til the new year.. it's no wonder so many people suffer with S.A.D.. not only is the weather really crud but we have to prepare for christmas too..It is the most stressful time of the year that's for sure.. and what is it with the shops playing christmas carols from the end of October onwards?? Had my rant now too :P

I love Chirstmas, but I can also understand why some people don't. It can be stressful, with the presents and money and whatever, but I just try to relax and enjoy it. I don't like how people commercialize it, though. You're right on that. It's too much about the money and not enough emphasis on the true purpose of Christmas: Christ's birth, but it's also a time to spend with family, too. But really. Who doesn't like presents? ;)

Sure its stressful, and the hype is mostly for little kids, but for me that makes it worthwhile.
Watching my little cousins rip open presents and exclaim over what Santa got them is so cute.
    It makes me happy =)
Plus this year, i have someone special to share it with which makes all this years stress even more worthwhile.
    =)

I actually love Christmas. I love baking chocolate chip cookies at christmas and drinking hot chocolate...you know the cheesy traditional stuff. I love putting up the christmas tree every year. The christmas songs etc. But, I do understand why a lot of people find this time of year to be so stressful. I hate trying to find gift for my friends and family. You never know if they'll like it or hate it. Saving up enough money to pay for the items is tedious as well. That's why this year I plan on making gifts for all my friends. woot.

I h-a-t-e Christmas. I loved it whenever I was really little. A lot of my family members were sick over the last 2-3 year period of time and now we really don't have anyone left. We lost 3 aunts, grandma, grandpa, and and 3 uncles. So I just find the holidays to be very depressing. Plus, not being even old enough yet to get a job and you have to try to make enough money to buy your friends and everybody gifts. It was better when I thought there was a Santa. I miss those days.

i really love christmas, but the meaning and tradition of it has flown out the window. christmas is about christ being born, and people don't see that anymore. they see presents.

EVERY holiday is commercialzed and it's making me sick.

Christmas? What's not to like about it. You get days off from work [unpaid], you see the look of appreciation on your kids' face [While you sit back and try to figure out how to make the payments on your credit cards that you've maxed out], A wonderful Christmas Dinner with your family [you'll be spending the next year trying to lose those extra pounds you put on feasting], Cold weather [just another coat you'll have to buy and gloves that your dog tore up during his puppy stage], Christmas Carols [sung off key and way too loud], Good will towards man [yea, and us women get hit with it outside every store by the bell ringers from Salvation Army]...etc.

But then, you have to look past all that and remember what the true meaning of Christmas was all about. And see the real joy that Christmas brings.

I feel the same way you do Angelina. My grandma died on New Year's, too. She was in the hospital from the Monday before Thanksgiving and missed Christmas too. It was hard, because I even put up her tree for her. It was so hard to take it back down.

The holidays just depress me. I like giving to people and all that. That's not it. I just get in really gloomy moods during this time of year.

Hope everyone has a good Christmas!

Christmas Has Lost All Meaning To Me, Its Just About People Spending Until Their Banks Are Dry, It Use To Be a Religous Acknowledgment In My Eyes As a Christian... But Then Again Why Should It Be? Jesus Wasn't Born In The Winter Time...

Gemma: I've Done My Research....December Is Just The Month We Picked To Celebrate Jesus Birth, There Is No Record Of Jesus Being Born On "December 25th" ....Not To Mention That From The Facts Stated In The Bible It Makes No Sense And Seems Impossible That He Could Have Been a Winter Baby....

    Case Closed...Happy Holidays ♥

FACTS: Shepards Were Watching Their Flock In "Luke" At The Time Jesus Was Born, And In December Its Rainy & Cold In Judea So The Shepards Would Have Sought Shelter For Them =)

I love Christmas :D I love the whole atmosphere that surrounds xmas (and the snow rules too! lol). I can't really explain it, I just love it!

Sure, i can definitely admit that it's over-commercialized, but i like the core of it, not the presents or the superficial material things, i just like the whole atmosphere... it's like people's spirits are in a new high during christmas.

i don't like christmas that much anymore to much money is spent on things that we don't need when we could be spending that money to help others in need
