should This Law Be passed?

There is a law waiting to be passed in California that allows all Pitbulls to be put to sleep, because they are ALL so 'dangerous.'
I think this is a load of bull****.
Not all of these dogs are dangerous, for example, mine is the most loving dog anyone could ever have, and he would do anything for my three year old sister.
You can't judge all dogs on what a few of their breed have done.
That would be like turning round and saying 'well let's kill all criminals, because they are 'potentially dangerous.'

I don't think this law should be passed. Fair enough to put the dog to sleep if it does something dangerous, or is a vicious one of them. You can tell a dogs temprement (sp?) usually. I agree with it being like killing all criminals. It's just not right. I definately disagree.

Dogs are like children.. their personalities reflect on their home and how they were raised.
Should we put all children to sleep now before they grow up to be murderers and rapists??

If a human was capable of being dangerous to an animal it wouldn't be put down.
I COMPLETELY disagree with killing animals whether I like them or not.
Same with no fox hunting & dodging birds on the road.
How heartless do you have to be to openly say kill the animal if it's a threat to us; you'd think twice if it was a human involved.

If there's someone who can't control their animals, condemn that animal, but not all pitbulls are dangerous.

I completely agree that this law should not be passed. My dog is a pitbull and she is scared of the dark-literally. Not all pitbulls are dangerous, but in some cases they can be, just like any other dogs. Did you know that on the list of attacks pitbulls are forth- from the BOTTOM, above them are labs and poodles, just to name a few. There was a video I watched once, all about the crulety and torture pitbulls are put through, and by the end of it I was sobbing. Ill see if i can find the link for you:)

that is such crap! we had a pit when i was like 1. he was the most loveable dog anyone could ever ask for. he was never vicious. i hope that law doesn't get passed. you shouldn't judge a dog by their breed. god we have to deal with racism against humans so we mine as well have racism against dogs too right. RIP Boo-Boo (my pit) And no we didn't have to put him to sleep he died of old age. Not vicious at all.

I think you should use this as a petition or how ever you spell it and give it to whoever. Just my thought. It could work. But yes, that is a very stupid law.

i have a pit bull shar pei mix, and hes the best dog ever. hes like a wrinkly square-headed dog, whos fat like a sausage. but we has to register him as a diff breed b/cif hewas a pit bul we couldnt have some insurance. its such crap!

Here in good old England I usually find that its pitbull owners that need putting down. I hear them as they shout across the park to summon their nutcase breed "come on Tyson" or "Bruno" as it tears into some old dears lapdog. I usually find a nutcase dog is attached to a nutcase owner - as my example suggests

i dnt agree but they've threatened tht law in alot of places over the past few years it never gets passed because they see how ridiculous it is but no besides putting animals down unless they are suffering is unhumane

That's such a stupid law! They shouldn't kill animals just cause they think that they are dangeous. That law should not at all be passed!

A very similar law was passed here in Ontario about a year ago. As of last November, any new pit bulls born or brought into the province were put down.

I strongly disagree with it. When all the pit bulls are gone, they'll just find a new "most dangerous dog". Next thing you know they'll be getting rid of golden retrievers and poodles.

Seriously, it's all about how the dog was brought up. ANY dog can be dangerous.

I think pitbulls are more capable of becoming violent then other breeds of dog but I DO NOT think that they should be put down because of that!! I just think that they need reponsible owners who can raise them properly.

I like pits and this law should not be passed.
It's olny the owner's fault that their pit is all evil. A lot of people train their pits to fight other dogs or just to be a watchdog.
My cousins have a pit and they have it around their babies and kids, but they raised it in a good way. Personally, I wouldn't have no pit around my kids cuz I think they still have the instinct. But I still believe that pit bulls are not all that aggressive, depending on how they're raised.
