Is my mom conceited?

ok im 16 and my moms 37.

every where we go she always thinks guys only hit on her even if I know they really arent. she acts like im invisible and guys could never want to date me. thats false, they do she just seems to think when guys turn their head its only for her. it gets annoying after a while, but then again its like whatever. i dont know how to react other than saying something like "oh yea thats kewl" cause she acts like shes hotter than hot.

Well, I can't reallt answer that question, not knowing your mother and all. All I have to go on is your OPINION of your mother's behavior. But, you may be right, maybe your mother likes the way she looks, and is taking advantage of it, or maybe, since you were born when she was so young, shes trying to relive her youth, now that she has the chance. If her behavior really bothers you, have a talk with her, and let her know that you think what she's doing is inappropriate.

I say either talk to her about it, or try to ignore it. It's not really hurting anything, and you're "I'm hotter then my mom" aditude could be considered conceited even if your mother was plain ugly.

no im not saying im hotter than her, it just seems to me that she trys to make me feel down on myself like im not good enough so dont try type of attitude. again.......SHE ONLY WISHES lol. im me and thats that. i dont try stick out like a sore thumb like her. shes married, but husband is locked up so yeah def part of this could be her way of passing time. then again, hell who knows lol.

honestly. i wouldnt mind if my mom did think she was hott and every time a guy turned his head our way she thought it was for her... moms are women to and need attention as well... let her think its because of her.. let you think its because of you... does it really matter who it is at anyways...

all it says is that your mom thinks she is hot. self confidence is way more important then some guy thinking it.

Grown ups don`t need attention? we all need attention and we all need to feel that we are attractive to the opposite sex, However I wouldn`t want to be in competition with my daughter! men say things, flirt whatever ,my daughter and I just laugh it off why is it an issue?

its not really a big deal. i know EVERYONE has a certain amount of self confidence but she reallllllllly takes the whole situation out of proportion. im not saying shes dumb for thinking guys like her cause thats not it. she puts me down when guys come around. ex "oh my gosh Mya he was sooo looking at my ass, funny thing is he was looking at my butt, gosh im too hott for this"-my mom. seriously she takes it wayyyyyy out of content. she never use to be this way. all i wanted to do was rant and rave over my familys stupidity lol.

I totally see where you're coming from with this. and theres nothing wrong with you for noticing this. and I myself, would be totally annoyed if I had a mom like that. my mama says things kinda like that every now and then, but its not that bad. I guess it's just becuz she's getting older and you're still young so she trys to make you feel bad about that cuz...well idk, it might be a bit of jealousy. or, maybe shes just tryna feel young again. idk

I'd just ignore her, even if she is your mum.
