Teenagers

I for one am sick and tired of hearing 'how bad teenagers are'. Yes some of us are bad, but not all! Just because we're teenagers doesn't automatically mean we're having sex, doing drugs or other stupid stuff like that! And I'm sick of having 'adults' think that I'm going to do something wrong or steal something everytime I walk into a store with my friends! It's dumb and idiotic and a whole bunch of other things. Like I said not all of us do stuff like that.

I for one don't. I'm 17 years old, still a virgin I've never been drunk or tried drugs at all. I've never stolen or done something like that and I have friends who haven't done that stuff either.

    Just thought I'd share =].

Well, im one of those "teenagers" that does drink and smoke and goes to parties and than jumps in a car with no seat belt snort some coke, kick some ass than watch the tide drag the body out to sea. its a good life

Yes, well I'm 18 which still classes as a teenager.

I do not go out drinking, but i'll enjoy the odd one in my home.
I've been in a very healthy relationship with my fiance for the last three years.
    I do NOT smoke.
I've never taken drugs (besides alcohol and ones when I'm ill) in my life.
I like to think I was well behaved in school, and I came out with pretty good grades.

Heather, I agree totally. Teenagers are put against the stereotype of "bad girl/boy" and it's not fair to the few that try their best to keep on the right path.

I always dont like people assuming that if a teenager is havign sex they are bad. Or if they are smoking pot they are bad. It is possible for a teenage to have protected responcible sex with someone they care about. And it is possible for a teenager to smoke pot once in a while and not be a deliquent. But yes i agree, i hate getting watched so closley in a sore because the clerk sees im a teenager and assumes im there to steal something.

    My Chemical Romance Teenagers Lyrics
They’re gonna clean up your looks
With all the lies in the books
To make a citizen out of you
Because they sleep with a gun
And keep an eye on you son
So they can watch all the things you do

    Because the drugs never work
They’re gonna give you a smirk
‘Cause they got methods of keeping you clean
They’re gonna rip off your heads
    Your aspirations to shreds
Another cog in the murder machine

    They said all teenagers scare
The living shit out of me
    They could care less
    As long as someone’ll bleed
    So darken your clothes
    Or strike a violent pose
Maybe they’ll leave you alone, but not me

The boys and girls in a clique
The awful names that they stick
You’re never gonna fit in much, kid
But if you’re troubled and hurt
What you got under your shirt
Will make them pay for the things that they did

    They said all teenagers scare
The living shit out of me
    They could care less
    As long as someone’ll bleed
    So darken your clothes
    Or strike a violent pose
Maybe they’ll leave you alone, but not me

    Oh yeah

    They said all teenagers scare
The living shit out of me
    They could care less
    As long as someone’ll bleed
    So darken your clothes
    Or strike a violent pose
Maybe they’ll leave you alone, but not me

    All together now

    Teenagers scare
The living shit out of me
    They could care less
    As long as someone’ll bleed
    So darken your clothes
    Or strike a violent pose
Maybe they’ll leave you alone, but not me x2

I never had the 'bad teenager' stereotype. To my family I was the 'perfect one' so I'd go out and get drunk and smoke to gain attention and everyone would turn a blind eye. It annoyed me so much I was so sick of being 'perfect'. My brother on the other hand never went out and drank, is completely against smoking and drugs and is waiting to get married before he has sex was labelled the 'bad one' and was kicked out! It hurt me so much because it was me that went out and did it all not him and my family punished him.

Karl..really grow up and get a life. You're not making yourself anymore "cooler" or better, you're just making less of yourself. You're one of the many teenagers that's causes the rest of us to suffere and die becuase ya'll have no common sense or a brain that sits inside your little head. Really now, shall you be so naive? I think it's time you grow up.

I do agree with the one who posted this. Some teenagers just don't get how to act. My 8 year old sister is more mature than that. I know some adults I look down at because I'm only 15 but I feel like I make more money than them and I don't even have a job yet. It is unfair how the good ones are treated and misstrusted, I really think people like that should be sent away were we won't have to suffer.

Really people, have you no sense at all? Stupidity is nothing funny or to show off, it only makes you less of what you can be.

What I hate the most is how some people that work in stores will follow you around the whole time just to make sure you don't steal anything. One lady even followed my friends and I into the bathroom and "pretended" to fix her makeup until we left. I'm not the most innocent of teenagers, but I would never shoplift, and neither would my friends. I know that the stereotypes won't go away, but really, it could be toned down a notch.

High Five to you Heather..I'm the same way!.....15 stil a virgin, never drank, never seen what drugs look like, dont steal..I'd rather watch movies with my friends then go to some party and get high...but yet people still "keep a close eye out for teenagers" everywhere we go....it sucks, but one bad egg spoils the dozen(s)! We'll always be looked down upon..

But perhaps its you sterotyzing yourself....Not everyone says ALL teenagers are bad...just because you here the word teenager doesnt mean you should include yourself.....dont get frusterated when adults try to knock you down if you know your an innocennt teen...just agree with them if your sick of it...thats what I do!

hi five to anyone lol =D

im 16 = never drank, never did drugs, still a virgin, dont smoke, never tried anything, never been a relationship that i truly remember....yet every single friend i have, has done everything on my "didnt do" list. it proves that not ALL teens are alike. some like to experience more than others which is way normal.

"As you can see, I can relate, but I'm not going to dwell on something I can't change..."
I agree, I'm not dwelling on it either. I was just saying something that ocasionally annoys me when I'm pissed off in general.

"P.S. Who said that since you're a smoker you'll break into a store and steal? Sheesh." I've actually heard that A LOT. I'm not judging anyone, I'm just stating a typical stereotype of teenagers. And if I made it seem like I was, oops, sorry.

Ok, really I agree with AT, there's nothing we can do about it, but still. It's rediculous and unruly how some kids act. And it's not the kids mainly, we mostly have the parents to thank for the behavior of a child. I mean yes, weather a child's mother is a drug head, or dad is a petifile it shouldn't get in the way of a teenagers life. I mean really, my mom use to be on drugs, ran away from home at the age of 16 and is now cleaning houses and struggling for me to live in the house with her and everything, but I'm not going to let my moms mistakes or my parents mistakes get in the way of me making the right choice. That's the main reason teenagers act tey way they do. Just because there parents do it, they think they have to. But they never take time and realize that they can be better than what they were taught and raised. Teenagers just in general need to open up there eyes and understand that just because someone else does it, it shouldn't change how you think, or if a friend dies of drugs..you shouldn't have to also. I didn't say ALL teenagers parents or that IS the reason, I said it's ONE of the main reasons. So really just letting ya'll know before some of you poeple jump on my butt about all this.

Humm.. adults should talk.. they also get drunk, take drugs, become unemployed, beat their kids up, plan heists and rob banks... no different from teenagers, really.

To the person who posted the my chemical romance lyrics, could you please tell me who the lyrics are referring to when they mention "They" and "They're" over and over? I'm really curious to know.

  • Dacey Flame

I'm pretty sure they're referring to parents and just adults in general, the people who always think they know best.

I'm only 14 but I know a lot of people that drink and smoke and do drugs and have sex and I've never done any of that. Sometimes I just want to go get it all over with so I won't feel so out of everything, but really, it's not like I'm alone. I have a lot of friends that are just as "innocent" as I am.
I think it's crazy how mine and my friend's parents don't trust us at all, and a lot of other kid's parents don't trust them either, when they never did anything. My mum doesn't even let me go to the mall alone because she thinks I'm on drugs when I'm happy. And yet those kids who are running around and in trouble, the majority of them have parents who trust them and believe them. Maybe thats how the kids got that way, with to much freedom, but to little freedom is just restricting. I feel squashed a lot of the time.

    It's insane.

well the songs called teenagers....so im guessing its referring to teenagers

which is pretty stereotypical if you ask me
just shows how bad its gotten
