Okay, obviously I didn't just think of all that crap from the top of my head. That was something I found that I thought was true. I'm not stating anything racial. But this is true. When a white person wants to say that they are proud to be white, then a black freaks out and automattically calls you racist. When blacks stand for there ethnic group, they don't expect it to be racial. Who said anything about me being racial. Those are true FACTS. I actually found those. It's all true. Whether you agree or not, it's true. |

It's a problem here in the South. Whites are declared as aggresive, a threat, an enemy, disrepectful. But I personally do not have any disrespect for blacks, but the "ghetto" blacks (wears pants that show their butt, talk like they were raised by cavemen, talk loud like they always have a volum button on high, act crazy as if they were in a zoo, disprespectful to adults because they think that they are better and adults are just dumb,)) I could go on. In the south, there is many racial problems, expecially here in Louisiana. I wish blacks WOULD treat us with repect. The blacks that make good grades, talk like they have some sense into them, respect all whites like they do themselves, dress decent, and that don't misbehave and is not curdious of their surroundings, I have great resppect for them. They are the ones that are very funny(without having to insult someone or talk negative against their ethnic group, dress decent, and treat everyone with common sense. I must say, I hate how we are treated. This statement is TRUE over here. None of ya'll can tel me so, because I live here. I know what goes on here. My class rooms are always debating and we are always having black/white fights because whites can't say what blacks say. It's not fair no matter what ANYONE thinks of it. |

What is there to be upset about? That I have an opinion that whites are treated like crap and disrespected because blacks think they have all the power to say what they want now? I don't think so. Ya'll can get upset for what I believe in and what I know. But you don't know what I deal with everyday. WE(whites) live in danger because we are pushed around. We are SICK of it. |

I agree that no one should be racist - even to whites. But if someone calls you "honkey," that STILL does not make it ok for you to call them a "coon." Never. There's no reason to. Even though there is not supposed to be racism against minorities in America anymore.. there still is, and probably always will be. I think the reason it's accepted as more tolerable for, for example, a black person to make jokes against a white, is because of the fact that whites HAVE been the dominant "class" for so many years. I think it was the theologian Chesterton who said about humor that it's allowable for a lower person to poke fun at a higher, to bring them down, but if a more powerful person makes fun of a lesser, then that makes them sink down to the level of cruelty. |

Yeah, the only whites that blacks like. Over here, if you usually don't like rap music, they automattically think you're racist becuase you think rap music is crap. Cause you can't spell crap without rap. True. And right. Rap music is the worst kind of music. I rarely listen to it. The only ones I like are the ones that have meaning to them. but yes it's true. If you act black, talk it, think it, and walk it, they like you over if you are white, you act it, talk it, ect. But how many whites do you know that are like that? I know several, but less than the whites that have some sense in their heads. |

Let me pause for a second while I laugh at all the ignorance...hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahah. Now let me say that there is laready a post like this. According to Ann Marie's last message in the feedback and discussion forum, a person should search the forum homes before posting. Had you done that you would have found a quite enlightening discussion. But instead you choose to push your ignorance in here. Again, Like I said in the last discussion on this subject. What the op, and anybody who agrees with the op, fails to realize is that these same attributes she so lavishly (I believe I am quoting myself from the last discussion on this topic) throws upon African Americans actually belong to every group of people around the world. Humans are Humans; people are people. Not one race has a monopoly on a particular way to act. There is nothing new under the sun and no human being is different. |

I agree to an extent but not entirely. Affirmative action needs to end, it was necessary at one point but now it is unfair. Minorities want equality? Then step up and accept it. Screw your skin color as far as i'm concerned, as long as you have these programs centered around race, racism will continue to exist. They are a reminder of the past and the racial tensions that existed/exist. If you get in an argument with someone do you keep bringing it up? No, because then it never ends and you are always fighting. Equality is not a pick-and-choose type thing. If you want it you get it all. It really irritates me that minorities can call themselves these slang words yet white people are destroyed if they use them. You want to be equal then either everyone can say it or nobody can say it. People need to be equal and as long as we keep making an issue of race it will remain an issue. (a lot of rambling but w/e.) |

Whatever Bob, say what you want. I know what I am. I'm not racist. Let your little world think that. I realy don't care anymore. People can kiss my butt. But you know what, why tell me I'm something when you don't know who the heck I realy am. You don't go through what I do everyday at school and in my town. So thank you though for still proving my point about being called racist JUST BECAUSE I POSTED THIS! I'm racist for saying what I believe in. Oh well, if you think that, go right ahead. But you CAN'T (as much as you want to) tell me I'm wrong for what I feel towards how I'm treated by a certain group of people. I really hate that they can't accept me because I"m white. I accept blacks that accept me. I accept ANY race that accepts me. But don't tell me what I feel, and I'm wrong for it. Don't tell me that what I go through is just my own world. And PLEASE dont' tell me I'm racist. You just want to believe it. So whatever. Forget all of ya'll who think I'm heartless, and disrespectful. Come to my school, and then you can tell me if I"m wrong. |

Well I did clearly state that, I have respect for many blacks, but those are the blacks who respect me. Not as a white person, but as a person that I am. And I respect them for the person they are. They are the well taught and disiplained(sp?) kids. I am not racist. Though I may make racial comments, and say racial things. It's only out of my anger of how I'm treated. And how I'm treated refelects on how I treat that person. I act what is acted upon me. |

I dont really have the paitents to read everything on here but i did read the first one and i -completly- agree. I have MANY friends whoa re from different races but it seems like any thing a white person does...they are considered racest.....we thought about haveing a 'white and proud' club at our school cause the african americans had a blacka dn proud club.....but we couldn't be casue the school thought it would casue prolbems....adn it did. BIG time. but any way....i agree. |

It amazes me how everyone only cares about what happens to them. People are rude to you and it is like you are the only one it happens to, so it is okay for you to retaliate with the same ignorance. All of these views come from somewhere, hatred is taught and passed down. Maybe instead of being part of the problem in your community, you should be part of the solution. It is easy to stand in the corner and point fingers and do nothing. Everyone wants to point out the problem but no one wants to do anything real to fix it. How does it feel to be the minority? Now you know what they were going through. (well not really) Since everyone does not have this experience with blacks, maybe it says something about the mindset of your community and its inability to want to better itself. Maybe you should stop talking about black and white and start talking about individuals and their individual behaviour. You cannot condemn a whole race of people for something each one of us is responsible for and that is our own actions. |

Somone can start a fight with you and you can fight back, but you dont need to use racial slurs. You dont stop racism with racism, it is not reasonable or logical. I am all for defending oneself but you can do so without becoming what you say you are fighting. It is like saying "well if he gets to murder, why can't I murder?" |

Bob: You're right, I didn't give any insight as to how she should cope with her problem, but I definitely didn't mean to make it sound as if certain allegations toward different heritages were alright to make. I don't think it's ok for her to generalize or give comparisons as to how she should be able to say one word if another race is allowed to say another, I think none of those words should be said at all. |

Everyone should not be placed into the same catagory, but as it was said before, fighting racism with racism is not a solution. Slavery may have been generations ago and we may not have allowed it or approved of it, but what past generations did not take care of, is left for us to clean up. Obviously we are not doing a good job of that, hence this discussion. |
