These times were bad enough to advocate the killings and beatings of children? So, you're saying, because now-a-days global warming is happening, we should kill our children when they do something wrong? If we did that, everyone would be dead. Everyone curses their father or their mother at least once or twice in their lifetime. Its no reason to kill someone. And by overlooking that in the Christian faith, I assume that you, too, advocate child abuse and murder. That doesn't sound very Christian-like, now, does it? |

I'm applying something that happened long ago to today because its being USED today. People still follow the bible, and some are extreme enough to think that if the bible says child abuse and murder is right, then it is. So build a better arguement. Kthx. |

Oh dear...it seems you forget that more than half the population in America is abused..and the reality is, almost everyone is 'insane' these days. You may be right, I'm sure that when they abuse/ murder their children they don't have the Bible in mind...but memories stay forever, so if they read the Bible, and the Bible made it seem right, whose to say it didn't make a great contribution to their sense of perception? Maybe they remember that the Bible said it was right, so they decide it must be. The Bible doesn't make people do things, but you must admit, with the Christian religion and the Bible to lead them, anything they do can seem 'right'. And if it's not, all they have to do is confess, and they're goin' to heaven again. In my opinion, Christianity is a very, very flawed religion I'm sure people would be better without. |

Christianity is a religion that is and has taken root in many cultures, so to say that America half the population is abused...I may not live there, but it may be true... |
