Police said Jordan Bessey, 17, was driving about 100 mph in Hamilton Township when he hit a dip in Nunner Road, lost control and was thrown from his Chevrolet Camaro.
Bessey, who was not wearing a seat belt, was hurled against a telephone pole that was then struck by the car, authorities said.
The force of the impact nearly broke the car in two, authorities said.
Two witnesses pulled passenger Patrick Hartman, 16, from the car moments before it burst into flames that reached 30 feet into the air, police said.
Bessey, a junior at Moeller High School and a Division I college football prospect, was pronounced dead at the scene

Aw damn. That kind of thing has happened to like Eight students at my high school during this last school year. Every month there'd be a new "Pray for INSERT NAME HERE" sign. It was kinda sad. Kids here can't drive worth a f***.

    Thats so sad....
i can't imagine if that happened at my school. it's soooo small.... around 450 students. everybody knows everybody. thats why i make everyone who gets in my car wear their seatbelt.
it really does make a difference.
