What do guys and girls think about belly button piercings?

My personal opinion is that it's a waste of money. but i'm trying to look at it from a parent's standpoint though.
i mean, why don't we hook you up with a chain or a trailor hitch, even that would be more usefulhowever ridiculus it looks

Well I am thinking about getting my belly pierced but my parents aren't even considering it so I was thinking more along the lines of doing it myself. This way money isn't a factor.

But there's a risk of infection, and an infection in the belly button is way worse than in the ear i'll bet. just don't do it if your parents don't want it done.
most people think their parents are stupid, or clueless to "what's hip" now but let me tell you that they have been to the other side and back i'll bet.

I have peirced my belly button, lip and nose myself it isn't hard and the rings are cheaper have a friend help you on your belly though because i know someone that did her stomach wrong and now she has a huge scar there but here is the big thing i tell everyone you can peirce your lip, nose, and belly button without peircing a blood vien but still be very careful and my lip and belly button has never ben infected... my nose ring fell out so yea i'm looking for the ring to redue my nose

This reminds of the bill engvall joke where he ask when shrapnel became a fashion accessory and then he says before you feel big and bad he wonders whether you will be singing a different tune when he brings out the magnet

The rings aren't real metal so they don't beep or anything or stick to a magnet i know i tried it before i pierced my belly button...lol

I think it's sick and wrong personally, and not even attractive.

Haha... that is my nickname at school... hardware store... why is it that everyone thinks that when the word peircing comes up... the only thing i don't want peirced and should be illegal is the men/women part... incuding nipples...

I'm not saying anything should be illegal, i'm just saying if you think you're just the hottest thing alive strutting your stuff and this fashion is new and hip don't flatter yourself. it's been around for centuries it's nothing new it's just more tolerable now.
if i wanted all of that metal i'd take a tour of the local recycling plant

... I'm not commenting on that last part (about ahem being illegal ...) . But yeah, I don't see the point, besides the ears (: lol' cuhs' I have three piercings there, and I'm planning to get more . But anywhere else ... I don't see the point .

And reutrning to the parent's point of view: if you have a piercing down there then apparently you're not hiding it and when and/or if i have a daughter that's the last place i want some boy looking

I see a point in it... and i don't flatter myself i like my peirces and i don't get a dang about what other people think.. it is my body and my life so get out of it... is what i aways tell everyone and i heard a story where a girl and a guy both had down there pierced and they had to go to the hostipal because the peirces got stuck together... lol

Well i was invited to share my opinion and i plan to do it. why i became leader of the opposition i'll never know but here i stand. and rather than look at it one sided i prefer to look at all aspects of life from several views.
until you become the parent of a kid you should not argue with the motives of your parents. and don't be surprised if by being rebellious to your parents now that when you are a parent you'll get the same treatment, maybe even harder so.

My mom told me i can peirce what i want but i have to buy the stuff... and i'm already going to be a parent so don't go givin' me a talk about what it is like to be a parent... when you go through the pain of pregnancy and birth then you tell me what to think.... ok man...

How could i have avoided the whole thing... i didn't choose to get pregnant or have bipolar... no because i'm going to tell my child that if they want to do that as soon as she gets a period, i'll get her some birth control.. un like my mother i want my daughter or son to know that whatever they do they are respondable for... i want be doing bed times but i will make them go to school on 3 or 4 hours of sleep... so i don't see why everyone tells me it is going to be hard i'm going to be homeschooled and i can take care of 3 4 years old a 12 year old and a 2 year old... and still be on the computer...

I know and it is alot.. i have already thought of adoption because of the fact that i'll me missing so much of the childs life.. and why should i go through all the pain and never get the hold the baby...

atticus risks his reputation, his family's safety, and even his life just to do the right thing by defending the black man tom robinson.

Not me, i used to like harry potter but when it got to the point that i saw little kids in robes casting spells on each other muttering words they did not know the meaning for then i called it quits.

Yea but i just think it is cute it isn't like they can really kill someone with a spell but some people believe in real witchcraft but i read into it and it is against the 20 rules to cast a death spell on someone or yourself...

I'm not bringing religion into it but i believe there are certain things that should not be done, or tapped into.
