Rate Yourself?

I wouldnt rate myself. i write because it's a passion, nothing more.

Well i wouldnt rate myself i prefer to be rated.....

If you don't ever judge yourself you will never move forward, judging by numbers is a difficult task; granted.

To -everyone- that said "I don't rate myself" Don't lie to yourself. Everyone judges themselves, otherwise you would never improve. If you don't think you are bad at something, how can you get better?

For me personally, My rating would be - I have a LOT of room for improvement, some of my rhymes come across as slightly forced, and for the most part I struggle with imagery. If I had to now put that into a number .. scale of 1 - 5 .... 2 & 3/4.

I rate myself a 1.

There are so many things I need to improve on in order to become an actual poet.

I would give myself a 1, and that would be generous at best, even though i pour every thing into everything i write, i am never satisfied with anything i write, if there ever came a time when i was completely content with what i write, then i would consider myself a failure as a writer..and would never progress...

I don't really care what others think of my work. As long as I am expressing myself I am happy =]

A 3-4 because i work hard to let my emotion go

I would give myself a 5.....im not tryen to be liike omg my poems are the best....but all my poems have meaning and emotion in them and i feel they deserve a 5.....

Hmmm...I would give myself a 4 on a scale of 5. I'm not bad at writting poetry, but I feel as if I could use improvement so...yea

I would rate myself a 4.9 our of 5 not because its my actual rating on the site but because i am aware that i am not the best but i know that I am pretty close to it lol

An 11 because the word eleven has a sort of beauty to it that coincides with my poetry

I'm not a poet...I don't give anyone any rankings...comments sometimes but no rankings...I'm not a poet and the fact that I know that I am not a poet is preparing me to one day become one. We must see reality for what it is before we can change it. At least that's what I think but what do I know ; )

I would give myself like a 3-4

I don't think i could rate myself because my poems are so different from eachother... some days i write a poem and it totally sucks and others just come to me and they are the best i've written... so im not sure. At the moments ill put myself right inbetween with a 3. not compairing myself to exprienced poets though.

i would say maybe about a 1 or 2 as sometimes i dont actually take the time to write a good poem i just let the feelings come out as more of a big let out which makes them just..rants i guess..shrugs

Im not gona rate myself, becasue I don't know whats good or bad, whats great and whats not, i dont know perfection if it slaped me in the face.

But then again i dont take some of the votes people give me on this sight seriously anyway becasuee if we think about it everyone has there own likeing and everyones intitled to there own oppinion so were not that great of poets as we count down the proff, people think you bad, or good, but scence when does it matter what other people think.

Im not singaling anyone out, im not pointing fingers,
all im saying is we do not have the right nor the knowlege to judge someone elses poetry becasue the reality is, we dont know whats good or bad we just go with that we like...

I would have to say that I was a 10. And for the people that think they are like ones or 2 then you have a low self a stem hope one day you see you are a 10 to some one and your self.

With the mixture of people on this site I would rate myself as maybe a 2 if i push it. In the world of poetry I will not even come in a rank.. Poetry is one of the most beautiful ways to communicate in the world. It is a difficult task to actually move your reader.
